    Had some fortune this event with the Pyle decision. I think it was a savvy bet at implied odds of around 18% but I readily admit that Pyle backers had a favourable set of circumstances (lenient reffing in round 1 coupled with judges decision)...



    What I try to do is increase my volume of non-correlated plays to reduce catastrophic risk in these circumstances. As RZA said on the Chapelle Show "you gotta diversify your bonds niqqa"

    Why Werdum in round 2?

    At 4:29 PM - 1 minute before the deadline - I made two hail mary parlays:

    Rony Jason in R1/Werdum in R2 @ +1884 ($5 to win $94.19)
    Erick Silva in R1/Werdum in R2 @ +1481 ($5 to win $74.06)

    This calls for a Werdum happy face





    I'm sitting at $624 and my opponent in the finale has $418.

    Even though I shat the bed in the finale, I won the belt in a similarly ugly fashion as Anderson vs Cote. My opponent just pulled up lame with a Stout/Roy/Jimmo parlay for all the marbles. Still doubled my BR over the month but I make no excuses: I had an awful night at UFC 161.
