I think that if that fight happens, the winner deserves to be known as the best mixed martial artist of all time. May be a bit premature to say with Cain's record, but he's already the best heavyweight in UFC history, he's utterly dominant, and he will have beaten Jones, which is an accomplishment that only the Hammer shares with him.

The truth is, as much as I respect Jones' skillset, and as elementary as Cain's is, how does Jones stop it? Even if you can stop Cain's takedowns, you have to worry about his boxing. Even if you can stop his boxing, you have to worry about him pushing you into the fence. From there, he may be the most devastating fighter in MMA. He's strong enough to hold you there, conditioned enough to grind you down, and he alternates from level changes to hard punches to the head. The guy is a freak. I still don't think people know how good he is. I've thought for a long time that he's the best talent we've ever seen, and he has, in my opinion, exceeded that talent and become the best fighter we've ever seen.

I'll get off Cain's balls for a second and point out that we don't know how Cain will react to Jones' kicking game, so the fight is at least interesting.
I do agree that of most any fighter out there, Cain shows the ability the just be relentless. Guy seriously gas an endless gas tank. JDS was so desperate to get separation from Cain in the second and third fight to no avail. I do see Cain as the rightful favorite in that matchup but Jones Anywhere +150 up just screams value to me. How often does someone get Jones as a favorite....NEVER

Been all over the internet for years that he was in to child pornography and animal porn! There were photos of him suckin off a tranny a couple years ago! Worrying thing is girls like Alexa Chung and Fearne Cotton were going out with him quite recently and were either completely unaware or have just not said anything

Paging Doktor MD: what is your opinion on the new Arcade Fire album? Seems like it would be right up your alley.

I've always liked the band but this album blew my mind.

I think Cains secret is that he throws punches with the power somewhere in between sloppy and crisp. That allows him to press it and protect his gas tank.

What many people also dont realize is his bobbing and weaving...you know that thing he does...its very deceptive and he closes the distance with it and at the same time makes him see openings because the opponent reacts to that.

Jones very well may go to HW in time. But I think he is just talking right now, acting like we will see it at the end of next year. Jones goes to HW loses to Cain and then what? He will have put on too much muscle/mass to really go down to 205 comfortably. He then just becomes one of the guys at HW. Taking harder punches. Harder guys to get down. He has shown he can take a punch, but you don't want what Gustaf did to you, but at HW. Bones has been big fish in little pond until Gustaf came in there. I think unless money is right, he doesn't rush to get to HW. He says he wants to retire by age 30. I don't believe that either. Again, it depends what money chances arise over the next couple years.

I would consider it an incredible film, but it depends on what you're looking for. It's an incredible character drama with some of the best acting you'll ever see and some amazing dialogue. It's not an exciting film, but it's a very, very touching one that provokes legitimate emotion in the non-cheesiest way possible, just through expert writing and film making. I'd recommend it highly if that appeals to you.

Yes. Roxanne looks like a hobby fighter that trains 3 times a week and has gotten a shot in the ultimate. Still blows my mind. Alright...Pennington isnt a world beater either...but she'll win.

u can get Pennington right now at -275 ($1.3636) at Willy...

I got her winning MUCH more than the 73.33% of the time required to make this a go...so a no-brainer to at least start off an x-leg old-fashioned manual parlay with a unit on her...and if it comes thru as expected (not a given...i remember several months ago, starting off one of these with Overeem when BigFoot exposed him for the overdeveloped-Ego/underdeveloped-cardio package he really is)...anyhow, if disaster is avoided and my "investment" in the big fave pays out, then I'm free to add additional legs down the road, totally at my discretion... deliberately, carefully and at the best price available for each new leg (at any price available at ANY book...no need to stupidly lock myself into one shop with a specified-number-of-places parlay)...this way i'm also free to "say when" at any point after any number of successful legs/any amount of accrued profit that satisfies me...and I'm also free to start up another one of these "how big can i snowball this one unit....one separate well-purchased leg at a time" projects...

this type of manual and sequntial process is possibly-lucrative...but even if not...it always provides stimulating entertainment for as long as it lasts (ie. till i either bust out or cash in)...so come on Pennington...let's get this little 1-unit MMA-fave snowball rolling

BTW, WillHill is definitely not a "must have" for MMA-betting...but at least once a month it's a "damn glad i do have" book for MMA (Matchbook also good every month for an excellent bagain price or two on something i'd be buying elsewhere anyhow--even AFTER the miniscule commission accounted for...)...85% of plays get done at Dimey or Pinny, of course, but it's nice to have other outs so it's easy to ferret out ad hoc "specials" on basic ML/total/spread bets i'm shopping for, with a quick visit to SBR's free odds-comparison site...where i can look at 10 prices faster than checking both dimey and pinny individually...so once in a while, i end up buying elsewhere...like i just did with Pennington at William Hill, at 20 ticks cheaper than anywhere else..BTW, Ladbrokes is the other book that people don't think of for MMA that's good for a few nice line-shopping surprises each month

You can start an open-# leg parlay and close whenever? Thought you had to pick the number when you start it.

I wasn't talking about an official white-bread parlay...i was talkin' about doing things the hi-touch, hi-flexibility, (what most people would call "inconvenient", lol) way...a "roll your own" parlay, if you like

start anytime/anywhere, add to it anytime/anywhere, end it anytime...

it's just a selection of non-overlapping plays where you, yourself decide to risk the original-stake plus all the accrued-earnings to that point

...it's the low-tech...old-fashioned...manual way of actually parlaying (or, in casino-game terms "paroli-betting")...or "all-in"ing everything available from the previously made (from bets won or at-least pushed...cuz if it's lost this snowballed sequence is done) bets...

it's a great way to play the hi-priced faves that have value but are two expensive (like the typical JonJones bet...)...but you don't have to lock into anything as with an official parlay...just put on the first play "as if" it were the first of a set parlay and with a similar small stake like 1 unit...the pennington play here only pays (IF successful) 0.36 units...but that means, i can keep my "manual parlay" going into the next leg with a bet for 1.36units...at any time if it loses, i'm only out my original stake of 1u...cuz everything else accrued was winnings ("snow" accumulated on my original 1-unit ball)...

doing it this way, i'm free to shop for best lines or end the series at any time (something you are NOT free to do with any open-spot parlay)...

the only time i'll ever put on an official parlay is if the games over-lap time wise...sometimes i'll do legA (single), sometym later add legB (another single), then there're two events overlapping in time that i can't shop-for/submit sequentially...so i'll take everything accrued so far and put on an official parlay (again shopping around for the best book to do it at first) for legsC&D...which if it wins, i'm once again free to either end or scout out a nice E-leg...

It is a terrific film, goes places you don't expect it to.

Michael Haneke is an amazing director. His films cover all sorts of ideas. Hard to believe sometimes that he's the same guy who directed Funny Games, which has the best usage of breaking the 4th wall, since perhaps the 1980s run of She-Hulk. Cache' is a terrific thriller than never really gives anything away. We saw it with another couple, and they didn't even spot the 'ending' of the film.

manual doesn't just mean inconvenience...it means control over each and every part of the operation, in this case = getting the best price on each and every leg you want to bet on...and the control to always be in a position to "say when" you've accrued enough profit...to avoid the common heartache of people whining about how they lost their monster sized parlay on "the very last play...sniff, sniff, sob"...when you roll--and roll along with--your own, each and every step of the way...you get to choose after each and every win (=each disaster-averting step) if you want to "keep going", or not, or even to keep going but at reduced stakes (such as to spin off a brand new RYOParlay at 1u...essentially pocketing all the profit to that point)

    so..."Manual....hell Yeah!"

Caché has been on my watch list for quite some time, I never got around to it, though. I'll probably watch it some time soon. What struck me the most about Amour is how beautifully legitimate it all felt. It felt like I was spying on two people.

I want to watch Dead Poet's Society next, it's a film that's always interested me.

Also, my twitter plays, off the top of my head, for tonight are: Duke -170, Maynard by decision, Pennington, and Holdsworth by decision.

I'm waiting for movement on a couple of lines before locking in bets. I really liked Niinimaki at +120 but I got greedy and waited for it to go up.

Are you saying that you have never watched DPS yet? It is a fantastic movie. "Good Will Hunting" is another worth checking out. Now that I think about it. If you like dark avant-garde movies then "Naked" is a must see. "Cosmopolis" left me with a buzz for days.

Dead Poets Society is treacle, the exact opposite of Amour.

I enjoyed Cosmopolis, but can't imagine most people would. It's certainly one of Cronenberg's worst films, and the pacing is excruciatingly slow. I mainly saw it because I enjoy watching people get upset when they accidentally see art films featuring their favorite stars.

Two favorites, Dogville, every single person in the theatre walked out except for us, and the Fountain, where at the end of it, a great big fat woman said, "I never thought Hugh Jackman would make a bad movie." In, what is clearly the only decent film of his career.

Can't recommend The Fountain enough, loved it.

And cashed on a bunch of plays I posted earlier in the thread. Winning night for my Twitter plays, although not a big one.

I finished #6 in a 75-man tourney in which top 5 get paid. Unreal. I was #2 until the Diaz/Maynard fight, and Diaz managed to land so many punches and get the first round finish, so a bunch of people jumped ahead of me. Pretty much any result other than Diaz R1 and I would have finished ITM.

Check out "Naked". David Thewlis is in it. Tell me what ya think.

The exact scorecards for Khabilov/Masvidal were just released, and they're shocking.

Khabilov took it 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28, as I'm sure many of you remember, but the round he lost on one card was round three, where he almost viciously KO'd Masvidal with a spinning back kick, and Masvidal had no significant offence the entire round.

    What the f-ck?
