    Poker loan

I would like to borrow 250 points to play poker with.
I don't want to pay any interest.

I am willing to offer 10% of anything I win in the poker room over the next 48 hours & 4% of profits made in the Sportsbook over the next 72 hours.

I know what you're thinking......10% of nothing is nothing. I will still repay 90% of the loan.

For 500 points I will offer 20% of Poker Room profits (after 48 hours) & 10% of Sportsbook profits (after 72 hours) & re-pay 95 of the loan.

I will post all my hand historys & all my sports book bets, in THIS THREAD

    Thanks for Looking.

Secret Stash - I know you're dying to take a piece of this action!
TT Warrior loves when people owe him points!
Emily has a gizzillion points, where's the risk?
In Da Drink - Mysterio319 - Speedy88 - All these members have a ton of points just burning a hole in their pockets!

    Anyway...thanks for looking!

Don't think you'll find anyone to extend an interest free loan unless the lender knows something the rest of us don't. 10% or even 20% of profits doesn't mean much in something as volatile as ring games, especially considering your relative lack of track record here for ring games (and your slightly negative record of sportsbook results)....certainly not worth discounting the loan by 20-30% (nothing personal, you could be a superstar for all I know, just no way to verify).

If you believe that the 10%-20% you'd generate would be sufficient to compensate a lender, my advice would be to take out a standard loan; there wouldn't be much difference if you win, but you'll have to shoulder the risk too if you lose. For reference, my standard terms given your history would be be 500 for:

    525 48 hours
    550 1 week
    575 2 weeks
    600 4 weeks
+1.5% outstanding balance every Monday starting 4th Monday after loan (1% if minimum payback met for preceding week)
minimum 40 point per week payback starting with weekly interest charge, or 15 point penalty

Let me know if interested...good luck!

We could play heads up for 25 points.
If I beat you you ship me 250 points.
If you beat me I pay you back on the 250 you won't have to lend me?

You guys sound like loan adjusters!
If I won with my own points I wouldn't asking for yours.
Like at the bank, they only lend money to those who don't need it!
I just thought when you weighed the finite amount of interest you gain, against the prospect of taking much more if I win was an enticing gamble.
I get that some would be uncomfortable with gambling on my gambling but, I do have 3 poker banners, I just don't know where they went.
    LOL
    Anyway. Thanks for looking.

We're all gamblers here, and just like anyone looking to bet on a football or baseball game, we're looking to be on the right side of the wager using the best available information. The simple act of loaning carries a significant risk of losing it all to non-repayment (you seem like a standup guy, but almost nobody here is 100% guaranteed to repay in my opinion). Toss in the added risk of gambling on an unproven performance and the risk outweighs the potential reward. If you show results and are looking for a loan to move to higher stakes, there's an argument to be made for that...but as it currently stands, the math just doesn't support it.

Again, you have more information on your playing ability than we do, and if you believe you can show a return, it seems like taking a conventional loan would work out fine for you (5% in 2 days, 10% in 1 week being very achievable with the most modest of gains). Interesting proposal with the heads up qualifier though...even if it would have little to no role in quantifying the risk, it might be fun (although I imagine a good chunk of it would be lost to rake). When I have the free time I might take you up on it, but for a max of less than 25 points, it'll have to take a backseat for now.

Well, you convinced me with a rather compelling argument.
    I'll accept your original terms.
    4 weeks for 600?
Also, what do I owe if I wanna pay it all off on say...this Tuesday or Wednesday?

    Got it.
SO if I can somehow double up today I can repay only 525.
If I lose it all I have one month to repay 600.

Pretty much...if it goes longer than 4 weeks, that's OK, but 1.5% of the remaining balance will be charged weekly (as well as meeting weekly minimum of 40 pts). If interested today, please send me a PM to let me know.
