    Dodgers & Kershaw?????

Before this gets out of hand, I would bring Kershaw back tonight on short rest. If they go down 3-1, it is over for them. The momentum and the crowd have Houston flying. What a surprise that would be to see Clayton standing on the mound????
He might be their only chance between an even series, or a Houston series victory at home!!!! Really, and the rest of the guys should be, all hands on deck !!!!!

I disagree. They’ve done that repeatedly in the past and it’s never worked (got to the WS). If Kershaw goes out tonight and wins, but the Dodgers lose tomorrow with Wood, they’re still down 3-2. Stros know they have to win tonight’s game with Kershaw ready for tomorrow on normal rest. Dodgers find a way to win tonight and pendulum swings. They’ll never win a championship if they can’t rely on more than one guy.

Well, we agree to disagree, but if they go down 3-1 tonight, it is over for them. And, I think they go down tonight. Wood has not been that good, and Charlie Morton, scraped off the junk heap, has been tremendous. GL to you. By the way, when exactly was the last time they tried this in the World Series ?????
Also, Rich HIll pitched well in game 2, it didn't become a slugfest until he was long gone.....

What I was saying Mag is that even if CK pitched tonight and they won, they still have to have someone step up tomorrow or they go down 3-2. They can’t pitch him every game. And you’re right, so far only Hill has done well and should have been allowed to pitch the 5th at least in game 2.
Pitching Kershaw on short rest in the past has never worked to the extent that they have won a series because of it and ultimately advanced to the WS.

Roger. I understand your points, and they make sense. I just think Houston has all the momentum tonight, and they will win this one. But, who knows??? BOL to you and your wagers (if any).

I was wondering how they would play him, if they would look at 1-4-7 or give him the rest. Obviously being down and losing a ton of momentum has to play into it. Do you factor into having him available to pitch any of a game 7 as well. Like 44 mag says, you have to stop the momentum, if Houston wins tonight and has a possible close out game in Houston, I think it puts even more pressure on Kershaw to give them another chance in LA.

Nice call. Wood pitched great. I think Roberts has hurt himself in this series so far. Hill shouldnt have came out for the 5th in game two. Dodgers should be playing to win in 5 tomorrow but this all goes back to game two in the 7th when they didn't do everything they could to plate the 4th run. I hope Kershaw is lights out again tomorrow night.

I don't know about you guys but watching this is embarrassing. Sliders aren't breaking, but they were talking how the pitchers have been complaining about the baseballs. How the stitching is different and the balls are slick. I'm inclined to believe the guys who are handling them all the time.

Regardless, if Dodgers lose this series I'll look at game two not plating that run in the 7th like I mentioned earlier in this thread and tonight not sending Taylor in the 8th.
