Can somebody please track the other games in-game totals after the fifth? It'll be around 3AM over here by the time the late games hit the fifth inning.

The easiest option is to use marathonbet.com. You don't need to log in to view live lines and it is pretty easy to navigate.

    Anyone??

    Good morning,

Two disappointing losses yesterday. Many missed scoring opportunities in the Boston game, and we had 5 runs after 2 innings in the Cleveland game and still did not go over.

As for playing the second half on the Reliever Plays, they go 4-3-1, but if one played only the games where the total was less than the original total, they go 4-1. It's only one day, but may be something to watch/play for those who have the time to do so.

I'll be on the early games tonight and will update with live totals, etc. This could really work. Vegas and the books don't have time for this...

Hey, since I never saw anyone post further about where to find 2H plays and what they consist of, I just looked into it a little.

Don't see them at 5Dimes but DO see them at Bookmaker, with sides and totals. Here are the rules:

MLB - Second HalfsBets are based on the score from the top of the 6th inning till the end of the game. Must be a complete game (i.e. 9 innings, or 8½ innings if the home team is ahead). Wagers include extra innings. All wagers are action, regardless of pitcher.

Thanks, good to know Capy. I believe what they've been doing the last couple of days is looking at the LIVE bet totals at the end of the 5th inning. Does Bookmaker have the 2H totals available before the game, or are they generated after the 5th?

I have only seen the second half totals after the 5th is over in "live play"

No, I'm talking about bets available BEFORE the game. I've been a little confused with some of the recent posts, I didn't even realize they were only talking about live bets, if that was the case.

Again, on Bookmaker, you can bet 2H bets before a game in the exact same way you bet any other type of plays. They go from the 6th inning in, as the rules above state. I just looked at today's. The number for most of them for the totals is o/u 3.5, though for some it can be 3. It seems to me this would be the place to take advantage of the overs on the reliever plays, am I right?

Of course, taking advantage with live betting is also great, just harder to do.

For what it's worth, TT, I don't take bonuses anyway. Fukk em, they're usually with some ridiculous rollover, like 8x or 10x or 12x. I don't feel like bothering with them, but that's just me.

    Good afternoon,

I don't like posting a lot of Regular Plays. My 4 today is more than normal, but another that just missed is Reds/Milw over 9.5. If it were 9 at -120 or less it would have been a play, but it does not look like it will reach that number. Just FYI

    Good luck

It's either 3 or 3.5 pretty much on every game after 5 innings.

I took SD/NYM and CWS/MIA. COL/PHI and ARZ/BOS up next. Great call on the ARZ/BOS game. CWS/MIA looking good the Mets game will most likely not drop.

At the end of the day, 4 runs is a hefty amount if you think about it. It might make more sense to play the complete opposite. Play the under when two teams which matchup, have rested pens and qualify. Thoughts?

If the pens are rested to my qualifications, I will post an under Reliever Play. I also take into consideration the bullpen's overall ERA when figuring the Reliever Plays. I just do not see that many WELL rested pens with a good ERA, at least IMO.

It will be interesting to see how the Reliever Plays do based on:
    1. Playing the second half before the game. (the numbers you posted earlier)
    2. Playing the second half based on live betting.
    3. Based on live betting only games where the second half total (for the game) is less than the original total.

I hope all can follow that.

1&2) I don't think you'll see a significant change. in other words, it would most likely make more sense to take the bet live because you will be dealing with more info: How much of the bullpen has been used? Did anyone get injured/ejected? Etc.
    3) Again, I don't think the difference would be that much. In a game where both teams have already scored 6+ runs each, I could see the 2nd half total being 3.5 to 4 where if it's a low scoring game it would most likely be around 3-3.5.

I def think this is something we should be taking a closer look at. It's all about getting that edge and i think Vegas and the books could care less about it here...

This is not your typical day, keep that in mind.

38 runs in 82 innings for a 4.17 ERA. The league avg is 3.88, 417 is comparable to Detroit's, which is 22nd.... But stillgreat to see your picks going 6-2-2 so far. Let's see how the last two go.
