The next time I bet on Boston this season -- I'm talking about under any circumstances -- remind me of this night.

Well, to be honest and in retrospect, it did make sense that a 56-67 team would be a virtual PK with a horrific starter against a 72-50 opponent. I hope everyone who locked Boston in at +120 this morning can beat off to beating the closer by a quarter.

This tweet pretty much sums up the Red Sox:

Farrell is a great skipper. Take out a starter w/ only 89 pitches for a reliever who's worked 10/15 August games. GREAT skipper! #RedSox

At least Boston is getting the automatic outs out of the way in the 8th instead of the ninth.

Despite out hitting the Angels and having way more base runners, Boston did just enough to lose.

Add Robin Ventura to that list. Bellasarios gets 2 outs and was cruising. 5 run 8th inning ensues. These guys just guess.

Baltimore is 70-52, yet they were +160 vs. the shitty 59-65 White Sox. You honestly think that was a "huge dog" to cash against the public? I don't care if Sale was pitching or not.

Braves? That was a virtual PK. No real difference there.

Bottom line: outside of Philly beating Seattle, this was a huge day for the public, culminated by this bullshit StL win.

Yea I do, When Sale pitches, most bettors bet on him. Lines mostly generate on baseball from starting pitcher, unlike any other sport. U tellin me people weren't betting on someone like Jose Fernandez when the marlins were below .500 team last year?

today 4 favs won 4 dogs won. Can't expect every dog to win, especially shit teams like zona

and we are all the public, u should be happy when public wins and bookies lose.

I side with the books and the lines they make. That's how I make my money. You know that. When the "public" has a field day, I lose my ass. How else do you think I have a .500 record and finish up as many units as I do?

Any time the Nats or Angels or Cardinals come up with bullshit wins like they did tonight, it's a horrible day for me. That was the fvcking trifecta, along with the Royals for good measure.

I need to clarify something here, paco, because it's one of the biggest misconceptions at SBR: I am not at all denying the fact that we are all the public. Absolutely. But that doesn't mean we all have to bet like the public. There is a huge difference.

Agreed. But doesn't mean u should bet against the public with shit teams like Zona, Texas etc. Maybe just lay off of those. GL
