Dude, what's not convincing here, OAK have the best hitting, pitching and fielding staff after 90+ games

Because like Alfredo Simon, past performance doesn't necessarily indicate future success.

Oakland has had an inordinate amount of timely hitting so far this year. No team can keep that up all season long.

Tough to go against a 4 game sweep esp. between teams with talent gap like Mets and Braves, hope they come back for ya though...

I hardly ever say this about baseball, but last night's SD/LAD game was really fishy. Every time the Dodgers had a chance to take a 2-run lead, they completely shut down offensively. I'll take it, but there was something not quite right about that. Puig and Kemp specifically. They had some really horrific at-bats.

Nice hits with ATL and BAL.

As usual, Harang somehow stranded like 20 guys on base. And I'm not sure how Washington didn't score in the 8th to tie it. Typical Nats choke job.

Coin, you're exactly right about the LA game.

LA had plenty of chances to blow that wide open.

They were 2 for 13 with runners in scoring position with seven strikeouts! Many by Kemp and Puig just watching balls down the middle when putting the ball in play would have most likely scores a run.

There were several times in that game in which LA had a guy at third with less than two outs and didn't score. Those involved strikeouts looking by guys in the middle of the order.

I also liked how the second the Padres scored and then La immediately scored the next half inning after being inept all game.

LA RL never had a chance. You were on the "right side".

I saw a lot of people taking LA -1.5.

Padres were 15-3 against the RL vs dodgers with a terrific solid on the mound, no fukking brainer, not to mention against Kershaw with 30+ scoreless innings...

The Padres pitcher last night had an era over 6 in the minors but has been unhittable his first few starts in the majors.

    Makes no sense.

Yeah Coin, looking at the board I see a lot of landmines.

I don't feel like going 2-2 or 1-3 and losing a lot of juice.

I'm considering the following dogs but not sure yet.

    Padres
    Jays
    Yankees

Also leaning Red Sox, Bucs, and Mets.

Sox feel ultra square against Houston though. Boston isn't good.
