Agree Jays pen is bad. You could make a good argument for playing Jays FF rather than full game. One of the benefits of Dickey is that if his knuckler is working, he can go the distance or at least minimize the number outs needed from the pen.

Sorry didn't respond. After that start, i hunkered down to ride it out. i didn't expect it to be as bad as all of this. Bad day, i was wrong about pretty much everything.

What do i say? I remind myself of one of Woody Hayes' famous expressions: "The will to win is not as important as the will to prepare to win." I remind myself of one of my own expressions, that a pendulum always swings back. Then, i put on some mood-lifting music really loud and i prepare for today. I have good three-plus hours for work on today's card prior to first pitch at 1 pm (have to be somewhere from 11:30 to 1:30) and i loaded a lot of stuff into the model yesterday morning so i can be off and running today. I'll be goddamned if i am going to accept losing as my state of being. Work is constructive and cleansing; i'm going to work myself clean.

Yesterday penetrating sucked. On to today.

Also, as it is important to learn from losses, i remember that Vinnie Paz was 100% correct when he said that playing Jays FF rather than full game was advisable. Cost difference was less than five cents. Bad bad bad decision on my part.
