    Scripture Of The Day

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (Phillippians 2:3-4)

Wouldn't this scripture tell you to not bet on sports because you are looking to your own interests and not the interests of others?

    I prefer this one:

You may eat any animal that has a split hoof divided in two and that chews the cud. However, of those that chew the cud or that have a split hoof completely divided you may not eat the camel, the rabbit, or the coney. (Deut 14:6)

Because, you know....rabbits don't chew cud.

    This one is also good:

He made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim . . . It took a line of thirty cubits to measure around it. (1 Kings 7:23)

Even though pi doesn't equal 3.

    And then there's this one:

He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved. (Psalms 104:5)

which is a funny one, especially in light of recent discoveries. Like, for instance, that the earth rotates, or that it is in orbit around the sun. Also, a couple days ago it shifted on its axis after the earthquake in Japan

Winner, though, has to be this one, which speaks for itself:

If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife, with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death. (Lev 20:10)

And God have mercy on all of you who eat shrimp.
