    That's how betting between posters works; you offer a better line than the book, otherwise what's the point? If you don't think getting an extra 20 is too big a deal, feel free to ask your bookie to give you +20 extra and see what happens.

    Or better yet, why not show us how it's done and offer up some specials yourself? Should have offered Redskins +220 to be "special" enough, max bet 2 points

    The sole point is that offering Washington @ +200 is a fair bet and not a "special" offer. He tried to make it more enticing by mentioning only the Washington ML of +180 without mentioning the SF 49ers ML of -220. Like everyone else, I like it when people offer special lines as they are +EV but this is the first time I've come across someone labeling an offer as a "special" line when it wasn't. BTW, there is nothing wrong with a poster creating a thread offering to "split the vig" like this poster did, just don't call it a special offer.
