Gonna hold off of Hernych, but I think he rates a shot to win if Bellucci sucks on serve today.

#352Eeesh. Lopez drops the 1st set tie break to Tomic. Sucks, he could have broken the kid's spirit after Tomic blew a 5-3 lead. Gotta get this next set Felicity. Hernych already up a break.Comment -

#354Well the pretty boy is gonna fukk me. Lost two sets in tie breaks, but was up a break in the 2nd and had Tomic 0-40 on his serve in another game and still blew the set. Too many errors. Plenty of winners, but too many UEs and missing that one break opp for a 2 break lead was really the biggie. Tomic still has to prove he can close this out, but I really don't see fancy pants from Spain caring enough to try and come back. Oh well. If the doubles play comes home, still a real nice day.Comment -

Figures I take a piece of my one wunderkind Dimitrov, but don't on Berankis and miss the boat. Oh well. Good for Berankis. Time and situation sometimes are better than actually beating someone. Now he can say he's been to the 3rd round of a Slam. Hernych finished it, nice. Looks like another fantastic night coming up. I'm so f-ing tired this week from staying up to watch and track matches. Been getting about 4.5 to 5 hours of sleep which isn't the worst ever, but damn. I'll be catching up on Saturday. Staying up late on Friday and sleeping until it starts again on Saturday night? Sounds good. Be back later after homeworking today's selections.Comment -

#360What happened to JM Del Potro, he had that good tourney last year where he beat who Nadal for the Championship and I haven't seen him make it too far after that outing. I hope to see more of him. I landed pretty decent on the Isner match last night. He had me worried at first.Comment -

#361Del Potro is coming back from major wrist surgery. He's not someone you need to be spending a lot of money on until maybe the summer when the hard court series starts IF he shows some consistency. People will get burned a lot backing him early in the season when he's trying to find consistency. His first round match probably lulled a lot of people into thinking he was in better shape than he really is. He had some moments there, but stepping up to playing someone like Baghdatis is a big bump up from his first round opponent.Comment -

#365I like Henin. I know the head-2-heads in this case are from several years ago and more ... but the psychological advantage from a 16-2 lead in Henin's case over Kuznetsova I think can carry over. Henin has looked to be in good form early this year with her Hopman Cup play and after struggling a little against Mirza, she looked solid in Round 2. Kuznetsova will give her a battle, but Henin has always done very well at this tournament and I think her defense frustrates the Russian. An upset is certainly possible, but I liked Henin to go deep in this tournament + possibly win.Comment -

#3671.20.11 AUSTRALIAN OPEN
SEVASTOVA -145
This price is intriguing because it has fallen heavily from its opening price. I don't know why and I don't particularly care. Sevastova draws Manasieva who demolished Bartoli in the last two sets, but it's come to light that Bartoli has been playing with a calf tear that apparently just gave way in that match. So that win is taken with a grain of salt. Otherwise, Manasieva has not had much WTA success on this surface. Sevastova meanwhile has quietly been lurking just outside of the public eye as she's shown some skill on this surface since last year. She scored a couple of nice wins over Stosur and Cibulkova in Beijing and tore apart Wickmayer in the 2nd in Melbourne. She has a pretty steady serve, so if she gets the 1st serve in routinely ... I do believe she has what it takes today to win.
ROBREDO +130
Robredo draws Stakhovsky. The pair split two hard court matches last season. Robredo winning in Miami in March and Stakhovsky winning in August during his hot run in New Haven. Stakhovsky has not dropped a set, but despite the scoreline against Kubot - he was not that impressive. Broken five times and a poor second serve. Against Robredo, that is playing with fire. Robredo also took on a diminished opponent in Mardy Fish, but I came away more impressed there by the court coverage that Robredo showed. He clearly frustrated Fish and looked fresh. A lot seem to have a high opinion of the Ukranian, but his results on this surface outside of the hot run in New Haven and a couple wins at the US Open have been pedestrian. Robredo surprisingly has been a consistent performer at the two hard court Slams over the years for the most part. Stakhovsky has yet to be tested in Australia and I THINK that is a key here. If it was warmer and the courts were running faster, I THINK Robredo would have a bit tougher time. However with the slightly cooler weather that has been around this week and Stakhovsky's inconsistency on serve at-times, Robredo can work his defense and frustrate Stakhovsky into making errors, I THINK he rates a good shot today.

#368Not big on her. Schiavone's injury is still a concern along with the long match vs. Marino, but Niculescu just doesn't have much game. She might be able to stick around if Schiavone struggles with her fitness, but otherwise I don't think she's going to get Schiavone here. Maybe the over on # of games because Schiavone could have to work for it. I think Marino rated a better chance last round at a better price.Comment -

#371Ranking means very little. Marino has a bigger game, bigger serve, forehand. Niculescu really has no weapons that will hurt Schiavone. Just my two cents. Upsets happen all the time, I just don't think this is one I'm taking a chance on.Comment -

#372Good luck EP
I am thinking about making a bet on Djokovic vs Troicki over 3.5 sets at +110. Djoker dropped a set against Dodig where he should have won in straight sets and Troicki been in form all year so far. Both men are Serbian, so it might be a little extra prestige on the line especially for Troicki. Only thing that worries me is if Troicki will be fatigued after playing many matches lately.Comment -

#376Goodmorning mate, I like your first play on Anastasija Sevastova, I took her as a -2 favourite, looking good starting the second set. ALso thinking about taking Roddick -6. Whats your take on Malisse +8 against Federer? Do you think it holds value? I like his form coming into this match. Cheers for any advice you have to offer and goodluck with your plays.Comment -

#377Sevastova is killing this girl. I still don't understand other than market adjustment perhaps why her ML came so far down ... although I am damn glad it did. Hard to say on Malisse. He seems to get on a roll and sucks people in and then flops every now and again. The thing I don't like about him is that his 1st serve is pretty inconsistent as far as getting it in percentage wise. If he does, he stays in matches. But it's been in the 50% area some lately, that scares me a little against Federer who will definitely love this match-up after the Simon match. +8 seems about right. Only thing I would be scared of are those runaway 6-2 sets if Malisse serves like crap.Comment -

They might be able to make a mini run here..Just a hunch..two aussies playing together with home crowd action and i dont think there is any other duos that can bring it like they can. #380GASQUET +4.5 [-120]
I THINK I kissed a stripper once too. She didn't taste like Coke. I feel HIGH on Gasquet, maybe it's the GAS. Maybe I get the GAS face for taking this after the price has fallen. Inconsistent inconsistencies for both players. Gasquet has a habit of turning up ready to rock against big names in Slams. Winning? That doesn't always happen, but he'll be in it to win it and can potentially cover this spread in losing - but he'll have to take it to at least four sets, probably five.

#381Looks like another future is gonna bite the dust with Henin. Can't really bitch, Kuznetsova just outplayed here today just enough although I don't know that either one has been exactly great. So it's Azarenka or bust with the WTA futures. Eeeesh.Comment -

#385Henin's out. Future #2 history. Azarenka still alive. Funny that she's the one I'm left riding. Robredo driving me crazy. Broke Stakhovsky back late in the set and now gets run out of the set at love on his serve. Down one set. Gasquet looked like he was going to be tough with an early break, now he's fighting for everything and down a set.Comment
