Yes they are. The current top income tax rate is 39.6, which it was under Clinton, but now you have an Obamacare surtax on top of that. Capital gains under Clinton was 21.2, it is now 23.8. The 2000 Federal Budget was 2.48 trillion when you adjust for inflation, it is now 3.7 trillion for 2015. Let's roll the spending levels back to Eisenhower, and cut the regulatory code to what we had then as well.

Fighter jets are expensive, but why would we stop building them? We need to have the capabilities to thwart any threat to our global power. ISIS is not a threat to us, but merely a blip in the radar historically. Chaos in the middle east was always the goal and chaos is what we have. Good luck building a middle eastern power that might challenge us in the region, given all the division in the arab world.
