Women’s Scottish Open: Final Tune-up Before AIG Women's British Open

The LPGA Tour will be hosting the Women's Scottish Open at Dumbarnie Golf Links this week. A number of the world's top golfers will be competing in the Women's Scottish Open, including Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee, and Jin Young Ko. We analyze the Women's Scottish Open tournament odds and pick our favorite outright bets.
Last season, Ryann O'Toole won the Women's Scottish Open after shooting a 64 on the final day to defeat Lydia Ko. The victory was O'Toole's first on the LPGA and she will look to defend her title this week with odds of +10000 via FanDuel.
Despite Brooke Henderson's recent major victory at the Evian Championship, her second win of the season, she will not be priced as the favorite at the Women's Scottish Open. The top spot on the odds board belongs to Ko, who is the favorite at +1000.

Women's Scottish Open: Favorites
Jin Young Ko (+1000 via FanDuel)
As long as you are going to give me a price point of +1000 for Jin Young Ko in a field that is missing names such as Nelly Korda and Lexi Thompson, I will take it all day long. Although Ko has not played at the Women's Scottish Open in her career, I do not see this as a negative, if anything, it is helping us secure a better price. Over the course of her career, Ko has demonstrated that she is capable of winning on a variety of golf courses. At +1000, I really like Ko in this field, and I believe she should be priced as the favorite with a price point below +1000.
Women's Scottish Open: Contenders
Linn Grant (+2200 via PointsBet)
Earlier this season, Linn Grant became the first woman ever to win a DP World Tour event when she won the Scandinavian Mixed Event by nine strokes over Henrik Stenson. The first time she appeared on the LPGA schedule was last week at the Evian Championship, where she shot -13 and finished T-8. Grant is a phenomenal links player and I really like the price we are receiving on her at +2200.

Charley Hull (+2700 via FanDuel)
A bet on Charley Hull at the Women's Scottish Open is a bet on someone familiar with links golf and who thrives on these types of courses. Hull finished in fifth place at the Women's Scottish Open last year. She is in good form coming into the event this season, having finished T-3 at the Evian Championship last week. Hull's price point has been shortened to +2700 this week from where she typically trades, but I do not believe that they have moved it enough.
Women's Scottish Open: Longshot
Cheyenne Knight (+15000 via FanDuel)
Despite playing on a different golf course in 2020, Cheyenne Knight finished T-2 at the Women's Scottish Open, and she is playing significantly better this season than she was back then. In addition to being one of the most accurate drivers on the LPGA, Knight is averaging 0.54 strokes gained: approach with her irons. With a price of +15000 available, her current form, as well as her previous success on link-style golf courses, Knight represents an excellent longshot play this week at the Women's Scottish Open.
Emily Pedersen (+15000 via FanDuel)
As well as leading the LPGA in SG: off-the-tee, there was something else that really stood out when evaluating Emily Pedersen. In the Women's Scottish Open last year, she placed T-27, but what really stood out is that she shot 77 in the third round and then shot sub 70 in the other three rounds. If not for that 77 on her scorecard, she would have been right there with the leaders, just as she was in 2020 when she finished T-2 at the Women's Scottish Open. Pedersen is a boom or bust play, but at +15000, the price is right.
