Rufin had all his chances, but was disastrous on important points.
Bautista - Seppi at third and the over cashes.

I'm checking Challengers schedule and I'm really liking Grygelis + Brands. Pretty doubtful if play them in a parlay or choose one and play only him. In Miami I like Tomic for a parlay but I've already played him in single. Tell me your thoughts if you like some.

Uhm, stats of their first round blocks me a little bit.
Oswald won 32/34 points with first serve and even if I consider Grygelis better than him especially from the baseline I never like to go against a player who is serving like that on a so fast surface like the Bath's one.
Like Brands because outplayed Hernych who is always a tough opponent at this level; he faces Jouan who lost a set from the young Broady but conceeded few opportunities at serve anyway.
Really doubtful now.

Miami Lukasz Kubot - Ivo Karlovic Pick:Ivo Karlovic @ 2.15 [+115] Why: It's a sensation. Lately it happened many times that when two players face each other two times in a row the winner of the first loses the second one. Also happened that head to head counted 0 and since Kubot leads 3-0 I take Ivo.
BetVictor
Miami Bjorn Phau - Carlos Berlocq Pick:Number of Games: Over 21.5 @ 1.8 [-125] Why: Phau better on the surface but Berlocq doesn't gift anything and I checked his Twitter where he wrote he's training seriously to be competitive on hard courts too.
Wanted to pick Berlocq ML but I see two fought sets or maybe three and I took the over.
BetVictor
Miami Sergey Bubka - Ernest Gulbis Pick:Number of Games: Over 21.5 @ 1.85 [-117] Why: Two hot minds and inconsistent players that can give many turnarounds in this strange match.
BetVictor
Miami Sergiy Stakhovsky - Bernard Tomic Pick:Bernard Tomic @ 1.66 [-151] Why: Tomic needs some good run in a Master 1000 and has to win at least this first round. Stakho showed something good lately but I see Bernard more consistent and can probably be a fight but the australian stills favourite for me.
BetVictor
Miami David Goffin - Donald Young Pick:David Goffin @ 1.9 [-111] Why: These seems to be a play 100% against the very poor Young but I'm also considering the good game Goffin expressed in 2012. Watched him in Marseille and I like his approach to the court, maybe I'm wrong but we have a future Top 50 at least here.

First time to post here Niki. I want to thank you for all the work you do for a lot of us who follow this thread! I would like to contribute to your efforts, as well as EP's, when the time permits. I have been teaching tennis in North Houston for 10 years and I haven't had a lot of time lately, been training for a big tment in Corpus this weekend. I play Open level, singles, USTA in Texas. I thought I was the only one who knew these players like you and EP do, so its nice to see some some other people who eat, sleep and drink tennis I always considered myself fairly strange to know facts & info on players that most people have never heard of. Also, I will be at the River Oaks tment every day, like every year, and can maybe add some information that could be of some help.

I switched to Bovada for a new year and they don't offer totals or handicaps on most matches. I can only get ML's. Thinking of switching back to 5D, but I'm doing ok so I'll continue for awhile.
I would to comment on your picks today:
1.) I have lost my last few plays on Dr. Ivo, mainly bec he is one of my favorite players. I know he has had a tough few tments lately, but when that serve is clicking, he can beat MOST players on a good day. Even though his return game is SO bad, he absolutely has a good chance to win this match against Kubot. Kubot is young and he does stay fairly composed, but if his serve is off today, Ivo has a great chance to win this match. This is a coin toss in my eyes, so never a bad play to get + money.
2.) I knew Berlocq was going to try to make a much better effort on the hard courts this year, so the over is def worth a shot. He played pretty darn well on the dirt already this year. I kinda like this guy. Fairly bland personality, but an extremely hard worker!
3.) No comment, Gulbis always pisses me off! I actually hope & pray that Bubka wins this match. LOL.
4.) THIS is the match I was eyeing yesterday. I agree with you 100%!! Bernard HAS to start winning at the 1,000 level. If he is ever going to be a top top player, he has to get through the first week of these bigger ATP's. He definetly has the game to play with the better players, as we have seen, he needs to step it up and start racking up some W's!! The last match I watched Stak play was against Raonic in the indoor tment in Canada. I know Raonic was in top form and serving well, but Stak played some of the most retarded shots I have ever seen. Shots that were so out of position, it was a joke. I am not a big fan of him, so I would love to see Tomic take him out. I think this match will be around 7-6, 6-3 or 4 range. I don't see 3 sets, but I think Tomic has the edge today. I really liked this play yesterday & might take a good stab at it.
5.) I absolutely HATE Young. Had to watch him at River Oaks last year on a side court. He is such a punk. I refuse to do anything but fade him, so GO GOFFIN!!! I do agree with you as well about Goffin. He is a good talent, maybe not top 50, but he is definetly showing improvement and composure on the court.
Just my 2 cents. I would love to start my own thread if I had the time, I think it would be so fun to try to help other people out like you are. I actually really like EP, but he takes a lot of underdogs and sometimes I shy away from taking too many of those. BOL today sir!!! Hoping for a good day

Hi Dmon (don't know your name ), you're really welcome here.
It's a pleasure to have a competent and passionate person like you. Saw some of your posts recently and I understood you eat Tennis every day right from the beginning.
And no, we're not crazy if we know everything of the less known players, we just love this sport!
I'm trying to do my best in this thread and things aren't going bad, even if I wasn't very lucky in these days. I always try to read matches in a certain way and I hope someone took some good idea from what I write.
I'm glad you like my picks for today, can be a great of a disastrous day, hope the first
About live Tennis, I can tell you I will be in Montecarlo for the Master 1000 like every year since I live in a part of Italy situated very close to France and Monaco. Hope to share everything I can get from there.
And would be very nice if you start your own thread, I'll be the first follower! It takes more time than it seems if you want to do a good job, I know, but I would really appreciate it.
Thank you again mate!

My Mothers Maiden name is DiMarco Most people think I am Hispanic, bec I am olive skin and live in Texas, but it is the Italian background, LOL. Dude, that is AWESOME that you get to go to Monte Carlo tment!! It looks SO beautiful there behind centre court!!! WOW. I am def jealous!!
Just got in from lessons and I see that Ivo could of won in straights in that second set breaker. I hope Ivo pulls it out.
I am getting ready for the Tomic match. Lot of 3 setters already today, matches gonna be backed up a bit.
And the main reason I will follow your thread and sometimes EP, is bec I KNOW that this takes a good ammount of time to do this. When my schedule clears up a bit, I would love to start one of these. Until then, I am VERY happy that u don't mind me popping in and trying to comment or help out a bit, if I can. THAT is why I am very appeciative for threads like this where I know you are putting in some good hours to make some good, educated plays.

Great job big Ivo! Down a break at third cameback and won at tiebreak!
By the way he was 1 set all without conceededing any BP and I think he deserved to win looking at the scoreboard movements.
Lol Bubka - Gulbis:
First game Gulbis serves and loses the game;
Second game Bubka serves and loses the game;
Third game Gulbis serves and loses the game;
I wrote I can see many turnarounds in this match and I think I was right.

Well, nice to meet you John.
Sorry for your friend
Yeah Di Marco is a typical italian name, you have italian origins for sure!
I go in Montecarlo since 8-9 years and everytime I enjoy it so much, really nice to turn around the courts while every player practices.
Then the club is wonderful and I can't miss to go there living so near!
Thank you for understanding our work in these threads, and I'll be waiting yours as soon as you can!
By the way two holds by Gulbis and the over hits.

Just got back from another lesson. Good job Dr Ivo!! Kind of shocked he got the break back, but way to go! Good call on that one Niki
I went really small on him. Also, Gulbis just pisses me off ALL the time. I have seen him just quit & basically stop playing matches. I love anyone who plays against him.
Haven't checked the other scores. I did put Bags in two parlays, glad he won easily
Waiting on my Tomic match............... Gotta go back to courts for 4 hours, I will be checking & responding from my phone. BOL Niki for rest of matches today!!!

Adding two picks for one match.
Miami Guillermo Garcia-Lopez - Rajeev Ram Pick:Number of Games: Over 21.5 and Rajeev Ram +3.5 Games @ 1.8 [-117] and @ 1.85 [-125] Why: Ram played very well in qualies and I'm expecting he will give some problem to GGL who already lost a set in the qualies against Viola. They played some year ago in Indian Wells and Garcia-Lopez won 6-7 6-4 7-6. So I take this double play hoping for a tiebreak or a set won by the american.

Just checked scores Niki. Did I call the Tomic score dead on or what????!! LOL!!! I saw a breaker and 6-3 set (maybe 6-4). I laugh at myself when I call scores like that. That was my big play, like I said. Parlay with Bags was $153 to pay $188. And the small parlay on Dr. Ivo is icing my man!! Great calls today on those matches sir

Quick note on Ram. I saw him live at Houston a couple years in a row. When his serve is on, he can definetly hold that +3 games. If its off, he might lose rather quickly. Good thing is, his serve looks GOOD this week. Good luck on that last play. I cant do overs or handicaps, like I used to a lot. I look forward to adding a play or two tommorrow and commenting on your educated plays. Again, great to meet you and I look forward to a long run of helping each other out. Great Job Niki
Really sorry, put the overs in an unique parlay and Tomic + Goffin together in another one but I posted it as singles.
Great end of the day with Garcia-Lopez's perfect score 6-4 7-6 that made both plays hit. Now into a new one!
Thank you John, you seem to bring luck here

Miami Francesca Schiavone - Ksenia Pervak Pick:Francesca Schiavone @ 2.15 [+115] Why: This is an obliged play. Francesca is playing so bad, she withdrew in Indian Wells but see her as underdog against Pervak is really strange. This odd is probably influenced by the set won by Ksenia against Ivanovic last week but I don't give a great weight to this.
If Francesca is ok today has at least 50% of chances to win and the slow courts might favourite her.

Miami Petra Kvitova - Venus Williams Pick:Number of Games: Over 20.5 @ 1.85 [-117] Why: I see a big match here. Two great serves and strong shots. Venus said she has the "experience" as weapon to win this match, I thought to take Williams ML, but this can be a long fight and with this line a 7-5 or 7-6 score in a set should be enough for the over.

Double Kei Nishikori - Lukas Lacko, Kateryna Bondarenko - Daniela Hantuchova Pick:Kei Nishikori, Daniela Hantuchova @ 2.24 [+124] Why: Lacko is rising well and I always likes his linear game, but it's right because of that kind of game that he should have serious problem against the "wall" Nishi can be. The japanese made crazy a player like Tsonga and if he's in shape he has the perfect game to face Lukas.
Hantuchova is one of the best player to trust on the WTA tour. Bondarenko has too regular shots and
I don't see her winning against Daniela (who in fact leads head to head 3-0)

Miami Heather Watson - Lucie Safarova Pick:Heather Watson +5.5 games @ 2 [+100] Why: I have to go, short write up: Watson outplayed Cirstea and I think has a chance with Safarova too; she plays at home and Safarova usually likes faster courts. I saw that line at that odd and I jumped on the handicap

Niki, do u play tennis bro??
Sounds like you do! Sweet
I moved up to the Open level for singles this year. I was #1 in 4.5 singles last year, that's the second highest division in Texas for adults. 42-9 record last year.
In Open, they are young! And solid! But I am hanging tough. I won yesterday & lost in Quarters this morning. So I have been out of the loop for 24 hours for looking at lines. I have dubs tonight. We won an epic match last night 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(4)! My partner serves in 120's. Fun playing the net, a lot of easy volley winners
Finally got back to hotel, Corpus Christi is pretty. But it isn't Italy or Monte Carlo, LOL!!
That parlay I played was my only play. Glad it hit, 240 to pay 170 I think. I was really surprised to see Dimitov went 3 sets with Grandpa Chela. I thought all 3 of those matches would be comfortable straight sets.
If I see a play today I like, I'll post it in a bit. I am really really sore & need to sleep before dubs. VERY happy to see you went 3-1!! I would of tailed you, but I drove 5 hours & played two matches yesterday. I had to be focused on my game. I JUST now checked the scores from yesterday, LOL.

Only 1 play today for me Niki. Another 3 play hook up. I only added Sharapova bec I think she will roll Stephens & it adds 14% to the play.
DelPo -800
Sharapova -1400
Anderson -165
Total = apprx -107
DelPo should win in straights. Could be very right, but he only needs 1 break each set or a small lead in tiebreaker. Karlovic has a horrible return game.
Anderson serving well & Querrey usually chokes around this stage of the bigger tments. Kind of surprised he has won a few matches in a 1,000 tment!! We call Sam the King of the 250's! Anderson is one of my fav players (I'm a little biased here) but I think he will get thru Querrey. Again, this should be a very close match.
BOL today!!!

Sounds just like all the other women's matches so far in this tournament. Nothing compared to McHale's 6-0 4-0 collapse though.
