Mon-feasel into the final. Damn looking back I should have just played the two futures I wanted at Bastad. Soderling & Almagro are what I highlighted. Doh!

#2560Yeah would have been two weeks in a row I had a couple finalists. I think this week was revenge for me doing well picking shitty tournaments last week. About how it works. At least I have a shot at Monfils +600. Sucks that Montanes is barely a dog for this one. Will wait until the set bets are set and might take a look at laying a unit on Montanes 2-0 & 2-1 to hedge the Monfils future. Better I think than taking Montanes +110 and I think it might almost be a pick by tomorrow.Comment -

#2563Yes he did, playing the flying Indian tonight. And he got a wild Card into the Atlanta Event,he has to play tonight and then maybe tommorrow and then fly all the way to Atl and play with some jet lag,Since he is a nobody I could see them making him play on monday.Supposed to be hotter than balls and humid in the ATL this week and the tourney is outside.Been nice and cool at Aptos on the coast all week if Im not mistaken, good luck with that for a weather chang! We might have a good situational play fading "The Donald".And he has to play Sela in the first round,so we might get a great number on the Handicap, maybe sela -3.5???

SODERLING-ALMAGRO ENDS IN 3 SETS [+141]
Almagro has beaten Soderling 2 of the last 3 times they have met and he's looked solid this week, while Soderling has looked susceptible. They have never played a 3 set match in their career meetings, but this could be the time for that to happen. Separating the two on paper as far as a winner is tough as Soderling is the better overall player, but Almagro has been more solid this week. I'm going to take a chance that this one goes the distance.Comment -

#2570CHALLENGER PLAY
FARAH +160
Farah is certainly by a rankings and experience standpoint, the correct underdog here. However, the situation dictates giving him a try here even though he's never won a title. His opponent, Salamanca, was forced to play two matches on Saturday due to a rain out on Friday. Thus, he played four hours on-court yesterday - barely outlasting his semifinal opponent in a 3rd set tie break. Now, he has an early final scheduled? 11am ET potentially - weather permitting. Tough to imagine his legs will be top notch. Farah took care of business early in his match and should be rested enough. If this match was set for later in the day, Salamanca would rate a better chance of recovering physically. He may still get that opportunity if the rain holds up the start time here, but I'll give it a whirl on the underdog. Both are Colombians playing at home, so both should want it badly.Comment -

#2572Mon-feasel retires up 2-1 in the 2nd set of the Stuttgart final after losing 6-2 in the 1st set. Thank goodness I hedged with Montanes. Just when you think Monfils might at least be turning the corner, injuries again.Comment -

#2575PARLAY: PENNETTA + DEL BONIS (Challenger) [+153]
Pennetta is in the Palermo final for the 2nd straight year and she has rarely been tested this week. Kanepi has been equally solid this week, but finds herself in unfamiliar territory on the WTA level. Kanepi has won two clay tournaments on the lower ITF level, but this is a different spot for her. Pennetta will have to work hard here against Kanepi, but she should have enough in the end with experience providing the difference for me. Del Bonis is in the Rimini Challenger final against Lorenzi. Both have been steady this week, but I think Del Bonis has a better serve. Lorenzi has made one Challenger clay final this year, losing. Del Bonis has made two finals on clay and gone 1-1. So long as Del Bonis works his serve well today, I think he gets title #2.Comment -

#2576EaglesPhan I have a TWO leg parlay pending on 5dimes:
Pending 7/18/10 Majors Golf ___ Oosthuizen or Casey wins British Open -397* vs Field wins British
Cancelled 7/18/10 ATP Tennis ___ Not A.Montanes In 3 Sets -410* vs A.Montanes Wins 2-1
As you can see they voided the 2nd leg.... I think it should be a win... What do you think?Comment -

#2577I'm pretty sure all 5Dimes tennis props regarding specific number of sets, total games played, etc. are voided if the match doesn't go to completion. Only picking a player on the money line or taking a 1st set bet I believe have action at 5Dimes if a player retires after completion of one set.Comment -

#2579Going to play Del Bonis as a single play. Pennetta is just awful. How you only win 32% of your 1st serve points even a WTA chick, is piss poor. Sad thing is Kanepi isn't taking advantage either. She could have put the match away a long time ago.Comment -

#2582HAMBURG FUTURES
Almagro +500
He gets a 1st round bye which should alleviate any fatigue concerns. Davydenko & Hanescu are the seeds in his quarter. If he remains hot, he has a solid shot to the semis.
Ferrero +900
He's on the bottom of the draw on the same side as Almagro. In is quarter are Simon and Monfils. Out of form and maybe out of this tournament due to injury. JCF seems a good shot to go deep here.
Ferrer +500
In the opposite half from Almagro & JCF. Ferrer has Bellucci & Berrer as the seeds on his side. There is some talent in his quarter as far as clay court experience, but nothing on his level if he's at his best.Comment -

CUEVAS +145
He played well here last year and despite his run in Stuttgart last week, Mayer is not at his best on dirt.

Mathieu beat him in their only meeting last year at this tournament in a 3rd set tie break. If Riba can serve well, he'll have a shot to win again.Comment -

#2587GREUL -113
Draws Bolelli to start Hamburg. Bolelli clubbed him at a Rome Challenger in April, but these two appear to be poster kids for home country advantage as Bolelli has done most of his damage this year in Italy, while Greul has done his best work in recent weeks on clay in Germany. Greul has a bit better form on the ATP level and in looking back, he's actually improved quite a bit on clay in the past year. Bolelli worked through qualis here, but was not impressive in his last match - winning in 3 sets, but only scoring three more points total than his opposition. If Greul can carry the confidence he built at Stuttgart with a couple nice wins there, I think he can gain some revenge on Bolelli today.Comment -

#2588Riba up a break now in the 2nd, trying to even it up at a set each. This one seems almost identical to their meeting last year at this tournament. Mathieu won the 1st, 6-1, dropped the 2nd, 6-2 and then it was a tie break in the 3rd. Hopefully this one goes to Riba! Or Mathieu pulls his famous stomach cramp withdrawal.Comment -
