    MGM sportsbook Springfield

When you play the over/under on a MLB game is it based on the starting pitchers or is it an action bet.

MGM have different rules for online and offline over the counter bets.

Offline, listed pitcher/s must start or it's void.

Online, always action no matter who opens the pitching.

It's also treated differently if the bet is part of a parlay.

Are you talking about Springfield MA? Here are their rules for there.

Thank you Optional. Yes Spfld. Live only 10 minutes away from the casino.

Placing an over/under bet is definitely dependent on who the starting pitchers are. To be considered an action bet is ridiculous. You should be able to list both pitchers when placing an O/U bet.

    I agree.

MGM is weird in that it also has slightly different rules for different states as well. And different again if used in a parlay for some baseball bets. Most confusing onshore book rules wise I've seen.

It's worth giving them the feedback how you feel on this. Surprising how reactive US books can be to just a few people asking for stuff.

When I go down there I'll make sure to mention it.

Thanks for your help and quick reply.

Very disappointed with MGM Springfield accommodations. Not one room with a jacuzzi. No indoor pool and the outdoor pool isn’t heated. They really cheaped out when they built that place.
The sportsbook is nice. A little on the small side but the chairs are excellent.

I live "close by." If you have the time, you're better off at Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. Actual places to eat, cleaner. Springfield is not the best of places.

It's like the smaller towns that can't get a full size Home Depot or BJ's/Costco. They build the scaled down versions and that's what this MGM is. A scaled down version of the larger MGM brand and there is no driving reason to go there. There are worse places, I've been to them, but there are far better ones and not all that far away.

Very small casino for sure. I'm just 8 minutes away.

Not a big fan of their sportsbook compared to Fan Duel and Draft Kings, but they do have decent Bonuses, but their boosts are pretty bad.
