Johnny, let's review more of your Historical bets

1861: South +300 to win the Civil War

1973: Field +200 (vs Secretariat) in the Belmont

1979: Balboa +320 (vs Creed) in the rematch. That was a nice winner for you.

    Ya, one of these days.

My favorite was the REM album title "Fables of the Re-construction." Very true.

    Youtube gambling stream in 1861
Ted: "I wouldn't mind sprinkling a bit on the South at +300. In fact, I'm gonna lock that in right now, Jim.
Jim: "I agree, Ted. Lots of hidden upside here. The general public is sleeping on the fact that Robert E. Lee graduated second in his class at West Point and is a master tactician. I think they have a more than a puncher's chance. Love the play."

Haha, great stuff, Josh. I've read about the Civil War and formed my own opinion:
    1) If Lincoln had more tact, surely he could have formed a compromise. And the compromise would have included a phase-out period on Slavery. "We'll give you five years. On 1/1/1866, all slaves must be set free."
...If the South agrees to that, then all the blood-shed is avoided.

    2) The Southerners were very staunch in their belief that they could/would win.

    3) When you size up the Tale of the Tape, I don't know how that was possible. Sounds like a past-post bet to me. South was destined to lose.

*Hey, I'm heading to Vegas to play Poker tournaments in June. 6/3 - 6/7.

Yeah, it would have been hard for the south to win. Like even just logistically, military strategy aside, the union had a nice advantage of having more railroads at their disposal to make it easier to transport food rations, supplies, guns and ammo. The union also had a stronger navy than the confederacy which enabled them to make it harder for the south to ship much needed supplies to themselves.

Nice! Give em' hell, Chuck. Good luck and have fun hunting a bracelet! Unfortunately, I won't be in Vegas during that time.

Today on June 4th, there are some cool WSOP tournaments on the schedule. The $1K super turbo bounty looks like a fun one and is at a nice price point as well. $300 bounty on each player you knockout. Hopefully you can sign up early and try to build up a nice stack of chips so you can then begin to get aggressive by 3-betting and putting pressure on people as well as calling shorter stack all-ins trying to get their bounties. Sign up as early as possible and try to build up a stack early. It starts at 10 am today.

There is a $1.5K PLO 8 event as well today. Late registration is 7:30pm for that one. "Potting it" is 3.5x the big blind. That's the max raise and you can only bet the size of the pot. I think you can do well in this game. It's nice because you can be more defensive and people can't put you all-in, allowing you to see flops and have playability where you can hit strong hands and just fold if you miss. Here is a little bit of a refresher video for PLO 8.

    Event #14: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout

    Event #15: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better (8-Handed)

Josh, I played the MON event. Did pretty well. Doubled my stack from start.

My exit hand was not pretty. LAG who has been playing air + bluff-shoving. Hi VPIP, he somehow had a hand on this one (QQ) and I exited.
