    Russell Wilson done in Denver?

    Sure seems like it.

I think it's safe to say that Seattle won that trade. And speaking of that trade, where will this one go down on the list of the worst trades in NHL history.

    Yes, he is done there.

I wouldn't be surprised if Stidham is their guy for next year. He impressed in a couple of starts with the Raiders last year.

Broncos are going nowhere for the next 5-6 years until Wilson's contract is paid off. They owe him a lot of money and he is happy to sit on the bench and get paid millions.

No way. They will make a move for a new QB.

I wouldn't be surprised if they rolled with Stidham(assuming he plays well in this audition) and then draft a QB to groom.

All the dead money from Wilson's contract will hamstring them the next 2 years.

He can’t be happy to sit.
Athletes don’t want to sit their career away.

Back to Seattle and he can backup Geno Smith.

NFL Russ had his best year as a Bronco. I don't think you cut him loose which they won't and you build more around him. He rededicating himself to fitness, doing yoga and shit is what I heard.

    Stidham is a turd.

The reason why so many teams can't advance is they keep changing their rosters and coaching staffs all the time.

You need a few years and sometimes more to get the most out of a consistent staff and roster.

Shuffling things up all the time is not a recipe for success.

you don't think teams like Vegas, Atlanta or NYJ are kicking themselves for not signing Joe Flacco to keep in the playoff hunt weeks ago.

Denver had too much invested in Wilson to give up on him this season. He looked bad for most of the year again. Nothing close to the old Wilson in Seattle.

Broncos will have either ~80 million cap hit this year or ~40 million this year and ~45 million this year for Wilson whether he plays or not.

Might as well keep and start him.
Denver's not winning the AFC West anytime soon with or without.
They're destined to be a 9-8 or 8-9 team for several more years.

It seems that Payton has already made the decision to move on and i doubt Wilson's ego will allow him to take a pay cut or come back after getting benched.

Since they are on the hook for all this money the next 2 years for a QB that won't be on the roster, can they afford to pay another QB $20+ million? I say no and they will roll with Stidham and draft someone for Payton to groom.

I wouldn’t want payton grooming anyone. That guy looks out of touch with the game. I’d be looking to move on from him and Wilson if I were ownership. But their ownership group has been making awful decisions for years now so I don’t think they will get this situation right no matter what.
