Yeah man it was crazy. Worst team, non competitive every week, but picked up trash on his front wing and had to pit late where it wasn't strategy based to steal a point as teams often do. Slapped some fresh rubber on and went on to ship me and opti a nice 5 figure score for next to nothing. Ever since that day books haven't offered much better than 100/1 on the fast lap longshots.

U, it's very true. Books learn from their "mistakes". And it's not really a mistake, it's just an unusual result.

    To your point:
*Rams won the Super Bowl at odds of 250/1 (?) after the Trent Green injury.
...You won't see odds like that again.

*Leicester won the Prem Lg at massive odds.
...I don't think the biggest dog will fetch the same price again.

*Longest odds I ever hit was 100/1 on specific prop.
...And it's a speculative bet that you likely won't see again.

The books learn over time. They offer what the MARKET will accept. Normally, bettors are fools and not investors. Why offer them FAIR odds when they can offer SHORT odds?

I've mentioned this type of thing several times in the comments. One market that's like this is the NFL moneyline market. Used to be that you could take a real swing at some NFL longshot dogs. Any given Sunday, it's a game of bounces. Now, I think it's shit. Who can say with a straight face that -1000/+700 is a fair fight?

What I said is true regardless of if it applied to your wager or not, so I'm not sure why you're all hot and bothered.

    Who calls people "knobs" anyways?

Are you a saucy, little British oyster?

Opti and 5mike5 are razor-sharp on Auto Racing.

If I had any tip for bettors, it would be to stick to the sport that you KNOW thoroughly. Best to be a specialist that has an edge. Better than being a generalist who loses money.

In your professional opinion is Johnny Vegas a specialist or a generalist?

Or is he just special, generally speaking?
