I think the idea is to protect the players from the virus and not have them catch the virus in the US where no one is practicing social distancing.

Funny how people are concerned with NBA. Meanwhile all the soccer leagues in Europe are in action and these leagues will now play this tournament as well. Too many spoiled whiners over here.

    All those leagues are irrelevant

Only thing that matters is world cup, euro cup, and copa, nothing else. How many league "championships" does messi have in his career? Like 20? 30? 40? Doesn't make a shred of difference what players win in these leagues.

All that they will be remembered for is what they do on the international stage. Messi is the best player I've ever seen play but on the international stage he gets pushed around. Kind of reminds me of a Lebron rather than Kobe/Jordan.

The problem is Messi is an 11/10 and everyone else around him is a 7 at max. Multiple players said they didnt want to play or be on the pitch with Messi at the same time... To much pressure. He is like lebron's ealry days in Cle... No one around him...

    I may retire to Portugal.

The following monthly budget is based on the cost of living for a couple living in most suburban areas of the country. Cities such as Vila Nova de Famalicão, close to Porto, or Estoril, close to Lisbon.
    Expense U.S. $
Housing (rent for a furnished two-bedroom apartment) $690
    Electric $46
    Water $23
    Domestic Gas/Oil $35
    Garbage/Trash Pick-up $0
Household help (maid twice per month, three hours per day) $52
Internet package includes cell phones and TV $69
Health insurance* (Fidelidade – Grave illness and hospital) $112
Transportation: Public or car expenses including tolls for 1,500 km $200
Groceries (supermarkets and farmers’ markets including wine and beer) $460
Entertainment (dining out once a week/ movies twice a month) $290
    Incidentals $230
    Monthly total $2,207
