#212MAXLock NFL Handicapping Week 14 Slate: All odds of sportsbook.com as of 4:00 pm eastern 12/10/10
1)Colts-3 over Tennessee
2) NY Giants -3 over Minnesota
3) New England -3 over Chicago
4) San Diego -7 over Kansas City (due to the likelihood that Matt Cassel will not play, this line may not be out at several books and will probably increase. I'd still take it -10 and under.
5) St. Louis +9 over New Orleans
6) Arizona +4.5 over Denver
3-1 ATS Sunday. Take the Giants today as we finish off the weekend on a good note. I got them at -3 earlier in the week. I still recommend taking them at -4. Bol Giants backers.
NO Play on the Baltimore-Houston game.Comment -

#218Yea, I see several places have it 4.5 now. My suggestion for those that haven't bet it yet is to either buy a half point to make it -4 at -120 or possibly wait until gametime and maybe have it drop down to -4, although right now there's no telling if that'll happen.Comment -

Documented ATS Record Since Joining SBR in Week 10: 24-12-2 (All found in this thread)
Season ATS Record: 55-23-7
Thursday Game: odds of sportsbook.com as of 12/14/10 5:00 pm
1) San Diego -8.5 over San Francisco
*Rest of Sunday plays I'll have up later. I absolutely love some of these Sunday spreads. Remember all plays are weighted equal. I should have 5-6 Sunday games, plus MNF. So with a potential 8 game slate all together, remember manage your money correctly and we might be coming away with an impressive week.

#231Just for my friends posting here, there is really no difference between 7.5-9.5 point lines, for something like the last 10 years, only 1-2% of games with a line moving between these two numbers did the ATS result get affected at all ...
The movement is therefore almost strictly due to books' teaser plays.Comment -

#233I'm really expecting to hit the books hard this weekend right in the mouth. Honestly the only play out of my 7 or 8 that Im worried about this week is the Chargers -8.5. Nonetheless I believe this is the absolute right side. Thursday can't come soon enough. Bol to us and the rest of those who will back my games.

#239dam it!!! i started to put SD in last night at -9 before I went to bed and just figured i'd wait til this morning and now its all the way up to -10!!!!! I'm gonna watch it close and see if it comes back down to -9.5 for a little while and try to grab it then. If not I'm not sure what i'll do.

Here's my suggestion: Since your book currently has SD at -10, wait and see if it drops to -9.5 (which i doubt it will but maybe...) If it does go down to 9.5, bank San Diego. If it stays at -10 continue going with SD, you may even want to buy the half point to make it 9.5 If it happens to rise to 10.5 (which is actually probable at this point) buy the half point at 20% juice to get it at -10. BOL man, next time don't wait. The difference between 9.5 and 10 is very critical in football games.Comment -

#241MAXLock NFL Handicapping Early Releases: odds of sportsbook.com as of 11:55 am eastern, unless otherwise noted.
I have an inclination that these two spreads will go down before gametime. So my suggestion is to take advantage of the current spread and bank them now. The rest of my games I'll have up Friday morning.
Thursday:
1) Banked San Diego -8.5 over San Fran earlier in the week.
Sunday Early Releases:
2) NY Jets +6 over Pittsburgh
3) Cleveland Browns +1.5 over Cincinnati
4) 3-4 additional Sunday games to be released FridayComment -

Oh well. What you described is exactly what i'm doing. I've just been checking it every so often just to see if it might drop back to 9.5, which it hasn't yet. But I see that a lot of shops still have it 9.5, so I'm hopeful. If it doesn't then I'll just live with 10 I guess, as long as its not 10.5 then obviously I will have to buy the hook.
Love the Browns play. 2 teams headed in totally opposite directions. the Bungals are a mess.
I guess I'm indiffernet about the Jets. 6 points IS a lot for a team that just 3 weeks ago most people considered one of the top 5 teams in the league. Now after 2 bad games its seems like everybody has just written them off. I wish I would have jumped on this when it opened cause a lot of places had it at 6.5, and I would have bought it up to 7. But i agree that it will probably fall to 5.5 or 5 before the game. Probably a low scoring affair, 20-17 Pitt.Comment -

#243Without going into this matchup: There's a Huge public overreaction when as it relates to the Jets play the last two weeks. Bank the Jets +6Comment -
