I know definitely why I am a little apprehensive, but Nola's record is 2-14 at home.
The line just moved to -5 on my book. I guess I don't see how many people can step up on the Hornets to compete with the Utah scorers. This is more lack of confidence in the Hornets than confidence on Utah.

I get it on their away form - can't argue with the numbers. Also can't argue with NOH numbers (2-14 Home, 0-11 vs. West), nor the fact that they're banged up down low. I took it at -4.5. Got a feeling it will go under (182) as well, but took the side for 2x. (1 unit = 2 bits - small time here ;-) ).
Also, the road record, Jan-Feb - 3-4, but the 4 losses were to Dallas, Knicks, GSW, and Pacers (3 Ws over GSW, Denver, and Memphis). Pretty good opposition there - including the ones they won. Plus, I seem to remember they lost a lot of those in the 4th. Maybe some maturity happening. At this point, I think NOH would lose to the Springfield Isotopes... ;-) bol!Comment -
It is hard to bet on pigs like NO...but BetUS just went to +6. I had to sprinkle a small play on that. If they suck...then I lose. I think it is a classic situational play against the road team.
But whatever you decide, you will be getting the best team by far with Utah...the question is whether they will play their best tonight.

Sorry guys, tried to post this earlier this afternoon when I locked it up but have not had any time at work. This game is currently at 203.5 at most places, but you might be able to wait for it to drop back to 203 or lower. I actually wanted 202, but I waited too long and missed and missed that opening number. No time for a writeup but I expect a classic high scoring game between these two poor defensive teams who have increased their PACE and possessions per game average. Earlier in this season, this matchup was set at 193.5 and barely stayed under by the hook, yet oddsmakers actually adjusted this one upwards by a 9 points and opened at 202. I have this game set at 205.5 and I am rolling with the over for 1x. Good luck.Comment -

Lean to Utah tonight, but no play for me at -5. It seems like you guys were discussing that game today and the injuries sure make the Jazz appealing. Unfortunately, I missed all the good numbers you sharpies got, so I will sit that one out. Plus, I never like to back a team solely because of injuries and I sort of feel like the books built the injuries into the line at the open as they probably had better information than the rest of us. The last time these teams played, NO covered as +6.5 dogs in Utah. Standard adjustments with the same players, would put this game at about a PK. However, this game opened -3.5. Therefore, the books added a 3.5 point premium to the Jazz today and it was probably because of the Hornet's injuries. I think Utah can cover -5, but that number is a bit scary for me when I already know the books are taxing Utah. This should be an easy win for Utah, but with a revenge game against OKC tomorrow, I will lay off and wish you guys luck.

Heat (-6)
Heat have triple revenge going back to last season and even though they are in a traditional fatigue spot, they are actually rested because their last two games were easy wins. In fact, Lebron, Bosh and Wade all played 31 minutes or under (Wade only 23 minutes last night). Miami has a huge offensive and defensive advantage at points in the paint with Bogu out. Moreover, I don't think Milwaukee is playing as a team right now. With Jennings and Jackson feuding with Skiles, I think they will be hard pressed to win 4 games in a row from the Heat. Last time, Jennings had to have an unreal game to beat Miami and I don't think he will hit 7/14 treys again. I have this game at -7 but I think Miami will be motivated tonight and that should be the difference. I am rolling with the Heat for 1x. Good luck.Comment -

I generally think "revenge" is one of the weakest and least dependable NBA "situational" angle. However, in this case, Miami has their guys rested and I don't think they choke this one away like they did last time.
In a way, this play makes no sense with Miami facing Indy tomorrow in their 3rd game in 3 days and 5 in 6 (possible fade spot for Miami tomorrow). However, if you remember, in the last game Miami got out to a 40-23 lead after the 1q and then crapped away the lead. I expect Miami to get off to a fast start and to keep their foot on the gas, unlike last time.
With Lebron, Bosh and Wade rested, I think Spoelstra has been keeping an eye on this game. You really have to pick your spots when to play the revenge angle and I think this is as good as any. Milwaukee is also in a fatigue spot, albeit not as bad, but their playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. Bottom line, the only way I see Milwaukee cover is if Jennings goes off tonight. Miami will know this and I think they will do their best to shut him down.
We'll see. I generally do not back the Heat on the road, but in this game I think they bring their A-game. I also like the Heat last night, but laid off because they were -5 against the Hawks. I should have layed the number last night and I don't want to make the same mistake tonight. I like them again tonight, so I'm going to pull the trigger and hope I'm not one game too late. Looks like not getting the -11.5 and not buying the hook, might come back to bite me in the Philly game. Ended up getting -12.
