Lakers are getting old and they know it, they rest their starters more nowadays, don't run as much, slower team.
Opposing teams are forcing a slower pace, look at the points the Lakers scored in their losses since the New Year.
85 v. Memphis 1/2
92 v. Clips 1/16
100 v. Mavs 1/19
95 v. Sac 1/26
96 v. Bos 1/28
88 v. Spurs 2/3
Lakers points per possession are at recent lows.
The team is slowing down, AND they're playing much worse offensively even after you adjust for tempo.
This is not your big brother or father's Lakers anymore.
Has Kobe hit the 'brick wall'?
It's not unusual to see 20 turnovers in a Laker box score these days either.
Go ahead, look for yourself.
Tonight they play a team (New Orleans) in their building, against the team they held on to and sweat out a four point win at Staples.
You think New Orleans wants a little payback tonight at home?
Lakers are like the Yankees, when either teams shows up to play in their house they have a target on their back.
You think this is just another home game for the Hornets?
You think this is another home game for the 10000 Hornet fans? It'll be loud dude.
Hornet ain't the Bobcats, they got game.
32-19 record says they have game.
One more point, Lakers are still ten up in their division, they aren't going to lose their division, no matter how much they have regressed, and they have regressed, do you think there is a sense of urgency here tonight in this early Feb. road game?
It's not like it's a semi final playoff game, seried tied at 1-1
With all that has just been pointed out, your 5K wager to me seems risky when the reward at -180 (is what I'm seeing) is $2778.
Even if you get your 5K wager down at -174 do you really wish to risk 5000 for a return of $2874?
Risky business indeed.
