Seems like remote car starters are very dangerous

What if you accidentally start your car when it's in your garage? You all die.

Say you're in bed and you unknowingly start your car with your I phone. Everyone in the house dies of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Maybe if you lived in a hobbits broomcloset with a garage.

I guess I know nothing of modern mechanics. But I know of a family that all died in their sleep when their daughter returned home and forgot to turn off the ignition.

Who's arguing? Yes, I have a college degree, if you must know.

Nobody knows why....they think she must have had to go to the bathroom really bad when she pulled into the garage and left the vehicle running.

I'm saying that I know a family that died because their car was left running in their garage and the fumes seeped into the home.

This caused me to wonder what would happen if someone accidentally started their car when it was in their garage.

Then park your car outside if you think you're incapable of keeping your keys/phone somewhere where they won't get rolled on in the middle of the night.

Remote car starters are not dangerous. Stupid people who don't know how remote starters work are dangerous though.

Usually only tools have them. I mean yeah its "cool" the first time you try it, but why do you want your car running while you are not in it anyway? The only possible use would be to warm up or cool down the car if you are parked outside and don't want to get in right away. I guess thats why I would have it. There is this guy next door that has it and everyday he remote starts it as hes walking to his car, Its on for 30 seconds before he gets in, whats the point?

they must live in a cardboard box if it filled up an entire house and killed them.

and another thing, she pulled in the garage and left the car in a hurry while running, but she had time to close the garage door

Aside from having a heated interior in the winter and a cool interior in the summer it is also very important to let your engine warm up before driving. When you start your car it takes several minutes for the oil to heat up and thin out and lubricate your engine (this is especially important in the winter time since cold oil is much thicker). Oil settles to the bottom of your engine when the car is not running when you start your engine it is running dry until oil is cycled through the engine, driving before your engine is lubricated causes unnecessary wear.

Automatic starters shut off after 10 minutes.

So the question should be, are keys dangerous?

I know a family who died of carbon monoxide. That means the smoke detectors are dangerous when the batteries are dead.

well... if it is 95 degrees outside, a lot of people will start the car to let the AC run. And, I don't know how your car / AC work but as a general rule of thumb the AC / compressor work better with the car running...
