When you talk rivalries in NCAA football you talk USC/UCLA, USC/Notre Dame, Army/Navy etc....
But this one is special. This is the granddaddy of them all.
Rutgers may have played in the first college game but this one is the best along with Army/Navy.
Game is 20 minutes up the road from here north on the I-95 at the Yale Bowl in West Haven.
I've been to a few of these, it's a scene man. Tailgate party like the best of them.
Can't sniff a ticket for under 200 today and that's on the ten yard line.
This is the 136th time these two will meet today. (yeah that kind of old time rivalry)
Yale has won 67 times, Harvard 60 times and there have been 8 ties.
Yale and Dartmouth are the superior Ivy League teams this season, they are 5-1 in the Ivy and 8-1 overall and tied with Dartmouth also at 5-1 and 8-1 for the Ivy League crown. Yale needs this one as Dartmouth has the tie breaker with an outright win earlier this season as Dartmouth bitch slapped the Bulldogs 42-10 up in New Hampshire. Harvard (2-4 in the Ivy 4-5 overall)
Game line is 5.5 (I don't like it as the dogs have a penchant of keeping these classics close).
I do love the over 54.5.
The first six Harvard games were all in the 50's plus with a 70 plus in there the last three games the scoring in the Harvard games have slowed down some.
Yale has scored 40 plus by themselves six times and 50 plus twice.
Yale has scored 46, 45, 59, and 51 in their last four consecutive game.
Yale's QB Kurt Rawlings is a throwing machine he threw six TD passes last week in that 51-14 thrashing of Princeton.
Over 54.5 1* is my play in this always fun game.
