Monday night the 11-3 Minnesota Vikings go on the road to play the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. I had high hopes for the Chicago Bears team after the acquisition of quarter back Jay Cutler, this season has been nothing short of a disappointment posting a 5-9 record. More than likely we will be seeing a lot of pink slips being handed out after tonight’s game. A win tonight could be the stimulus Cutler and crew need to have a fighting chance with Chicago management and more importantly their fans.
Cutler is about to set the record surpassing Fayre with most interceptions per season. Indeed, all aspects of Fayre‘s play this season how been outstanding. I don’t know how much weight, if any, I would put into the Childress controversary. When I watch Minnesota play I see no passion, the antithesis of what we saw with the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. I don’t see things getting much worse between these two. Fayre is in it for himself. How much passion do the Chicago Bears have? Will a Hester injury mean much?
All indicators point to Minnesota in this matchup as they dominated the series for as long as records have been kept. The last time these two teams met in Minnesota it wasn’t even close. As I said before, Fayre is having one of his best seasons in terms of pass completion and touchdowns…the Vikings as a team have excelled under his command.
The Bears rate near the bottom on all aspects of the game. I think who wins this one will come down to a lot of variables that can’t be measured. I think Cutler and this Chicago team come out tonight to play and they won’t make it easy on Fayre and the Vikings.
Gut-Shot play is on the Bears +9 which I will pull the trigger right at game time. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Bears win straight up or this one comes down to a field goal.
Best of Luck!
