Odd that no one's noted divx. Or do most just grab the codecs and plug-ins elsewhere?

Torrents are for people that don't mind downloading at slow speeds and basically gambling on being sued....and well considering what this forum is, alot of being probably use torrents. I'm on Usenet, Newsgroupdirect is my provider, purchased a 2TB block for $50 and sabnzbd is my client and nzbmatrix is the website I use to find shit. Nothing like downloading anything I want at 1.5MB/sec roughly 5.4GB an hour.

As for the OP, Jing is great if you take screen shots and VSO image resizer if you frequently post/send pictures through e-mail/forums. Don't forget to image/clone your hard drive after you have everything setup/installed/updated. I recommend getting a cracked copy of Acronis True Image or just download the free copy of Macrium Reflect. Depending on which version of Windows you have, it includes one but the compression sucks compared to the two others I mentioned.

GIMP - Image editor (Basically open source/free Photoshop)
Chrome with Adblock, Lastpass, Flash, and clickable dictionary extensions.
    Gparted - Partition manager/editor.
    Holdem Manager + Table Ninja.
    Python
TOR proxy w/ Vidalia and privoxy.

I also run 2 operating systems on my internal HDD (Vista + Ubuntu) and have a 3rd OS (Backtrack 5) on an external HDD. Ubuntu is great if you haven't tried it. It's easy to install side-by-side with Windows, free with tons of free programs (ie. Office suites like MS Word or drafting tools like CAD) and is totally customizable. Backtrack 5 is a Linux based security suite with all types of fun tools that are used for "penetration testing." Not quite sure how to use most of Backtrack but its fun nonetheless. I did however manage to steal login information (that I already knew) from my g.f. who was using the same LAN.

For Ubuntu - everything for Windows plus:
    htop - process viewer/manager.
    Compiz - desktop effects manager.
    Xchat
    i2p

After I install Chrome I install Ad Muncher. Love that little program. Never see a damn ad again!

Blocks ads in all browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, Flock, Netscape, Maxthon and Avant Browser.

Kills unwanted popups in all browsers.

Removes advertising in programs like Pando, SopCast, ICQ, Morpheus, Kazaa, PalTalk, iMesh, Bearshare, LimeWire, Yahoo! Music Jukebox, TVAnts and more.

Speeds up page loading and saves bandwidth, thanks to the missing ads and pop up windows.

Downloads in seconds, only 523 KB for the whole program.

Works immediately out of the box, thanks to the most extensive ad blocking list available.

Filters quickly and reliably, thanks to eleven years of constant development and feedback from users.

Protects your privacy by blocking common third-party tracking systems.

Blocks rich media advertising like video ads, interstitial ads and floating ads.

Blocks many spyware, adware and dialer installers.

I was just wondering, what is this program Defraggler exactly? I was going to assume it was to defrag the computer, but never want to assume.

    Thanks!
