Panthers vs. Golden Knights odds

NHL SGP predictions: Panthers vs. Golden Knights

Matthew Tkachuk Over 3.5 shots on goal (-103)

In Game 1, much of the focus from the Panthers was on establishing a presence and sending a physical message. Panthers skaters made a point to finish their checks on their Vegas counterparts in an effort to soften them up in what will likely be a long series.

Just look at these hit totals from Game 1:

But now that they trail the series 0-1, expect Florida's focus to shift to finding ways to beat Vegas goalie Adin Hill after managing two goals on 35 shots in the series opener. If looking for a little more juice, check out our anytime goal scorer pick in this Panthers vs. Golden Knights betting preview.

Tkachuk ranked in the top 10 in shots on goal during the regular season and just outside the top 10 during the playoffs.

Though he has a well-rounded game, Tkachuk is still the offensive catalyst for the Panthers. He leads the team in postseason points (21) and goals (nine). He doesn't pace the team in shots because he's been so accurate, as evidenced by his team-best 18.0 shooting percentage.

But it's the Stanley Cup Final and the Panthers are in need of a victory. Expect Tkachuk to dial up his offensive presence. He's topped this shot total in three of his last six games.

Adin Hill Over 29.5 saves (-121)

This is a correlated play. If we expect the Panthers to increase their offensive pressure, Hill should continue to see a high volume of shots.

Since taking over the Vegas crease full time in Game 3 of the second-round series against the Edmonton Oilers, Hill has had to make at least 29 saves in eight of the 10 games he's started. He stopped 33 of 35 shots in Game 1 of the Cup Final and averaged 30.8 saves in the six-game series against the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final.

The Panthers led the league in shots (by a healthy margin) during the regular season. Though the Golden Knights were middle of the pack in shot suppression during the season, they're averaging 32.5 shots against per game in the postseason.

Zach Whitecloud Over 1.5 blocked shots (-154)

Vegas defensemen Alex Pietrangelo and Zach Whitecloud each blocked four shots in Game 1 of the Cup Final.

Among the five Golden Knights defenders available in this market for Game 2 via Caesars, Whitecloud is one of only two with the Over/Under set at 1.5 and he carries the shortest odds.

Whitecloud is coming off scoring the game-winning goal in the series opener and should be emboldened to keep up his playing style. He's blocked at least two shots in three of his last four games. He had two blocked shots in Game 5 of the Stars series and three blocked shots in Game 4.

NHL SGP odds analysis

Among our top sports betting apps, Caesars is the only one that will allow bettors to combine these specific prop markets. In addition, Caesars is also hanging the best prices on Tkachuk shots on goal and Hill's saves.

At Caesars, this parlay comes with +410 odds. Playing the same parlay at bet365 nets odds of +350.

For those looking for a bigger payday, adding Panthers netminder Sergei Bobrovsky to also go Over 29.5 saves (-113) pushes the odds to +1000 at Caesars, but just +700 at bet365. Prior to Game 1, Bobrovsky had recorded at least 30 saves in his previous five games.
