The top two regular season teams in the East clash in the finals. Find out who we like with our Montreal Alouettes vs. Toronto Argonauts Eastern Final CFL Picks.

The Alouettes and Argonauts lock horns for the third time in three weeks, only there's a Grey Cup appearance on the line. They closed out October with back-to-back matchups to end the regular season. Since last they met, the Als won their semi-final contest against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats while the Argos rested, awaiting their next opponent.

Toronto holds the regular season advantage, having won two of three meetings between these two. Both are 5-5 against the other in their last 10 games dating back to 2018.

Here are our Alouettes vs. Argonauts Eastern Final CFL picks (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook and BetMGM; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Alouettes vs. Argonauts ML Pick

Argonauts (-160) ★★★★

Toronto finished the regular season at 11-7, the best record in the East Division. The Argonauts played much of the year without their biggest offseason acquisition, running back Andrew Harris. In Week 9, the star Canadian back tore his pectoral muscle. Now he makes a much anticipated return. Harris provides a spark to the Argonaut run game that saw A.J. Ouellette rush for 506 yards in his absence.

Quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson comes off a career year where he threw for 4,731 yards and 23 touchdowns. His favorite target was Kurleigh Gittens Jr. who registered 1,101 of those yards.

Montreal has the advantage of a playoff win under its belt heading into this week’s matchup. The Als beat the Ticats 28-17 in the semi-finals to advance. They finished the regular season with a 9-9 record and second place in the East Division. QB Trevor Harris also threw for over 4,000 yards this season. Wide receiver Eugene Lewis garnered much of his attention, accounting for 1,303 receiving yards.

Toronto won two out of three regular season meetings between these teams.

Alouettes vs. Argonauts ATS Pick

Alouettes +3.5 (-110) ★★★★

The Alouettes are 10-8-1 against the spread including the postseason. They've covered in each of the last four games where they were underdogs including their Week 20 contest against the Argonauts. The Als appeared in five games with a +3.5 point spread total or less, and have covered four of them. This includes their Week 2 meeting with Toronto where they covered the +3.5 spread.

The Argonauts finished the season 10-8 ATS, covering in six of their last 10 contests. The Argos have been at least 3.5 point favorites in 10 games this season and are 6-4 in those instances. In two of three regular season meetings against the Alouettes, Toronto failed to cover this exact spread.

Alouettes vs. Argonauts O/U Pick

Under 48 (-105) ★★★★★

Montreal hasn't hit the Over in six out of their last eight matchups including last week’s playoff game against the Tiger-Cats. Toronto only exceeded its projected game total in three out of its last eight. Two of the three matchups between these teams in 2022 failed to reach the Over. The only one that did featured several backup players. This will be a cold weather game which should lead to a slower paced, lower scoring affair.
