Amazing comeback. Nuggets go fishing just like that. Never thought the Twolves would come back down 20 at half in Denver. WOW!

Mavericks very happy about this as they know the Nuggets would have spanked them. Mavs and Twolves up next..

Mavs/Wolves should be a good series. I like new teams in it.

I would've loved to have participated in this thread but apparently my status on this site is now subject to the whims of Optional and what side of the bed he woke up on. He just randomly hands me red cards for stuff that wouldn't have even drawn a second glance 5-10 years ago. So getting peppered with bans I guess is the new normal.

This thread easily would've been 6-10 pages otherwise. We're talking about a series that spanned two weeks and covered the full 7 games with peaks and valleys galore. But SBR would rather jail me for petty crimes, so in turn this thing sputters to a measly two pages with no one to stoke the fire.

It is what it is. Don't care. But it's plain as day their wasn't any renaissance of unadulterated sports discussion in my absence, that's for sure.

    Free Throws

26-30 and 15-16 didn't watch game or any of series... 98-90! 14 more attempts by the winning team? Vegas wins

You can look at the game summary and cry foul on account of a free throw disparity, or you can actually watch the game and realize that the Nuggets were absolutely gassed in the 2nd half and settling for jump shots, while Minny stayed aggressive and attacked. Ant Man should have had at least a couple more trips to the stripe to be honest.

good call and nice hit Eddy!... I quit posting plays a long time ago (cold turkey style) and only log on to SBR once a day to collect the 12 points and then promptly log out. (like 99% of current SBR posters)

Good call EDDY. Whom do you favor Minny/Dallas? With Luka not at a 100% I would lean Minny.

I didn't know that was still a thing. What do betpoints get you these days?

I would lean Minny also. It'd be pretty anticlimactic if the Wolves unseated the defending champs in 7 games only to lose to the Mavs in the WCF. That being said, the Wolves need to be careful in game 1 because Dallas could come out like gangbusters whereas there's a natural inclination to exhale if you're Minnesota.

Gonna be a good series for people who like defense.

Betpoints + $0.25 gets you a cup of coffee at your local 7-Eleven!...well, all kidding aside, you can still enter the various SBR contests and win amazon gift cards and even some cash prizes. but that's about the extent of it until upper management and top brass decide to bring back the SBR store and sportsbook. (both of which are currently defunct)

Those are never coming back. Nevertheless, betpoints are useless if you are not PRO because many of these cash contests you have entry fee. It was 100 bp to enter NHL and NBA contests and can’t transfer 100 as non-pro.

Pack is leading both and looking to take home $500 in each. So for some it’s a good deal.

OK Thx for your take EDDY. Should be a good series 6 or 7 games. As long as Luca is not compromised too much.

    Drunk:

    1) How do you see the Dal/Min series shaping up?
    2) Do you think the Western winner will give good resistance to the Eastern winner (likely Boston)?

NBA is so hot and cold anymore I rarely touch the playoffs, the Nuggets-Wolves series is the perfect example: Nuggets were dead after Game 2, Wolves were finished after Game 5.

I'd go with Min to beat Dal and would expect the finals to be pretty tight, six or seven games.

Tricky spot for the Wolves. I don't like the side much but I took some U207.. Game 1's are usually a feeling out process and these teams mirror each other in a lot of ways.

Jake, see my notes. You echo my thoughts:

*In the NBA, the betting public responds to the L2 games. That's it.

Line moved against us but I still feel pretty good about Mavs. Chuck, people have short attention spans. I don't think most people even watch the whole game, just highlights and sports talk.

Totals are not my game but I would lean under as well.
