    Best Use of Freeplay?

    I know there are lots of historical threads on this, but from what I've seen that is under the assumption you have at least 2 books you can play at and are hedging your bet using + ML bets at the freeplay book and hedging with the other books.

    I only have access to one book at this time.

    Assuming I only have access to this one sportsbook that is offering the freeplay (250%), what is the best use of my freeplay? Is it to bet + ML and hope for the best? I normally bet NCAA/NFL/NBA/NHL picks.

    If you can split it up then it is best to bet a few underdogs to reduce variance

    It is best to use a freeplay on a parlay preferably 3 teams but at minimum two teamer. You are doing the books a favor if you put the freeplay on a single wager because you are not utilizing the face value of the freeplay if put on a single bet.

    Biggest longshot they will allow, either parlay or underdog money line.

    To add some context, depositing 1K to get a 2.5K freeplay. I believe there may be some limits on how much I can bet on one game.

    My initial thought was to bet on dogs at + money ML and bet my other ATS picks using mostly my cash balance (1K).

    Best strategy is to pick winners then you won't have to use another book for gimmicks.

    always remember that if the winnings from the freeplay bonus exceed the bonus amount, the rollover will be based on the higher number.

    Iím assuming your r/o is at least 10x, if not higher. I always max bet the first + bet that looks good. If you win then split it and grind it out with multiple bets of -/+ bets.

    What book is it? If you donít wanna say, please just tell us itís not BetUs.

    Based on the offer i think i know the site you are using and they have very limiting restrictions on how you can use the freeplay, check the fine print before you waste the energy of creating a parlay or betting a underdog that goes above +140

    No shame in stating that the freeplay is from BetPhoenix. Here are the rules as far as bets being made:
    Free Play Rules

    Free Plays can only be used on any of the 4 major sports (point spreads and totals only). Moneylines are only allowed for Baseball.
    Free plays can be used ONLY in the following wager types.

    1. Straight wagers on side, totals
    2. Parlays up to a maximum of 3 teams
    3. Teasers up to a maximum of 2 teams
    4. Money Lines must be between -200 and +200.
    5. Buying points is not allowed in free plays.
    6. Free plays will show separate from the customers cash balance and can only be used to wager on sports, rollover requirements must be completed in sports, no casino or horse action will count towards the rollover.

    Restrictions:

    1. Proposition bets or futures are not allowed
    2. Restricted games cannot be parlayed or teased.
    3. Maximum payout for any Free Play is $5,000.
    4. Maximum wager limits established for each sporting event will apply when using a free play.
    5. Free plays are restricted to the Winnings Only. The free play amount risked will not be returned to the player when a free play wager results in a win for the client.
    6. Free play funds cannot be used to bet Asian handicap lines in soccer.

    One easy way to look at it. Make 24 three team parlays at @6-1 $100 each. You are expected to win 3 of those giving you $1800 with 1 free play left. If you hit 2 , then you still have $1200 with 1 left. Hit 4 and it's $2400. You can bet 8 at once using just 3 teams for a guaranteed $1800 win but BetPhoenix isn't going to like that.

    If betting straight always bet .5 points. You don't want to bet something like +5 to get a push.

    Interesting thought. I'd like a realistic shot at getting about 50% or more of the FP amount. Doing the 24 3 team parlay suggestion at -110 does make +600 odds, but if I only win 1 parlay then I'd only have $600. I understand this is all hypothetical, but it seems like there is a greater chance of winning 0 or 1 parlays than winning about half of my bets at -110 odds betting $100 on each game.

    After 3 minutes of thinking some more, betting $100 to win $90.91 at -110 odds for 25 bets, with an implied probability of 52.38% equates to an expected outcome of $1190.47 cash. If I were to win 2 or more 3 team parlays then that would be a better option.

    Doing a 3 team parlay using -110 lines, the implied probability of winning each parlay is about 14.37%. Multiply that by $600 and each parlay would net you an expected $86.23 per parlay. $86.23*25 parlays =$2155.75.

    Their rules do not appear to outlaw that.

    If he only wants 50% result from the freeplay then that is one way to GUARANTEE he gets at least that much.

    Do you know what he is talking about Dane?

    Use 3 games and take both sides of all games in 8 parlays.

    It should return 60%-70% of free play value.

    Bigger odds = better potential max returns doing that.

    It works best using NHL pucklines but you can do it with NFL if you like

    These bets would guarantee you at least $1764.60 return from it.

    TB+7.5/PHI-6.5/JAC-2.5/ $312.50 pays $1764.60
    TB+7.5/PHI-6.5/PIT+2.5/ $312.50 pays $1897.64
    TB+7.5/WAS+6.5/JAC-2.5/ $312.50 pays $1863.33
    TB+7.5/WAS+6.5/PIT+2.5/ $312.50 pays $1992.70

    Definitely great way to do it. I did things like this back in the day when I first started playing offshore and books were handing out free plays like candy. I would use a couple of books to spread it out and maybe steal 1/2 pt now and then.

    to add 12.50% odds to win each parlay, 1 out of 8 at pk em. That means probability of winning these amounts of parlays making 25 parlays

    0= 3.55%
    1= 12.68%
    2= 21.73%
    3= 23.80%
    4= 18.70%
    5= 11.22%
    6 or more= 8.31%

    BetPhoenix was one of the books that did allow it when SBR used to offer book freeplays for points. I think anyway, from memory.

    Not my personal fave way to use a freeplay, but if 50% was my aim that would be perfect if they still allow it.

    Guessing this is betphoenix based on the amount. I would normally say parlays are the way to go but.i don't go.too crazy at that site because the winnings from the FP is how they calculate the rollover.

    Did find this nugget in the "House Rules" portion on their site. Would the 3 team parlays apply here?

    BetPhoenix Sportsbook reserves the right to close any account or group of accounts if they are suspected of fraud and or abuse of our bonuses program. In the event an account or group of accounts are found within the BetPhoenix system, where the customers have conspired to fraudulently or maliciously manipulate our line offerings to guarantee themselves profits regardless of the outcome of the events, BetPhoenix reserves the right to cancel any or all wagers and profits derived from such fraudulent activity as well as terminate the accounts in question permanently.

    Also this is in the rules for General Promotions:

    1. Betphoenix.ag considers wagering on both sides of the game using any form of promotional money (free play or cash bonus) fraudulent behavior. This includes making bets of this nature with anyone of our affiliate sites, and any money won from playing both sides of the same game will be deducted along with any other promotional money credited to the customer and may result in cancellation of the clients wagering account.
    2. Wagering on both sides of the same game for the sole purpose of completing a rollover requirement is absolutely prohibited and such wagers will not count towards the rollover and any winnings derived from such activity will be reversed.

    So if you deposit $200 what will be your bet size to complete $8,000 or more rollover? Will you be going all in until bust or rollover? Or will you be making $20 bets for 6 months until you roll it over?

    If you're asking about me personally, I'm usually not an all-in type of bettor. I have played a lot of NCAAF games so there's been times in the past where my entire balance or close to it is in play on the weekend between NCAAF/NFL. With a 1.5K-2K cash balance, I'd bet anywhere from $50-$200 on a game. So to answer your question, with a $200 balance with a $500 FP, it would be more like $20 bets for awhile. It all depends on how much $200 or close to that is worth to you. For instance, I'd rather not lose over 1K in a day and be out for some time, but $200 may be worth it to go all-in.

    That's the problem with a huge rollover. I may go on a good winning streak betting small amounts so I could meet the rollover..but what if I deposited my own money, without rollover, and made normal bets during the winning streak. I could have made as much in a week or two and don't have to be commited for 4-6 months to rollover a $200 deposit.

    But if you are afraid of going on a losing streak then maybe the 20x rollover with free play gives you more time before getting bust and lose less.

    Free plays and bonuses aren't for everyone. If you want to withdraw money at any time, then play at a book that either doesn't have bonuses/freeplays or just don't take those offers. If you are more of a grinder betting similar amounts per game and don't mind having your money tied up for a few months then maybe bonuses/freeplays are okay.

    It all depends, because I'm not a big fan of futures where I have to wait 6 months to get my money back if I win so its a delicate balance.

    There are 3 basic scenarios...
    1. If allowed, bet the 8 3 team parlay option. Each individual piece of that bet at -110 odds, totaling +600 odds when parlayed together. This should net you $1875, or 75% of FP amount. Do not include 0.5 numbers (bet +3.5 instead of +3)
    2. Bet 25 3 team parlays at -110 odds, each for $100 at +600 odds. You are fairly likely to win 3 times, which would net you $1800, 72% of the FP amount. Winning twice would net you $1200, 48% of FP amount. Do not include 0.5 numbers (bet +3.5 instead of +3)
    3. Bet $100 to win $90.91 on 25 individual straight bets. Going 13-12 on those bets would net you $1,181.83 or about 47% of FP amount. Do not include 0.5 numbers (bet +3.5 instead of +3)

    Not a big deal but run your distribution at .125 success instead of .1437. -110 both sides comes out to .125.

    Based on the above "House Rules" or "General Promotions" stipulations regarding betting both sides to guarantee profit or abusing the bonus program, do you feel that betting both sides of 3 games as mentioned above is "fraudulent" or can get me in trouble? Has anyone done this recently and even better, done so at BetPhoenix?
