Red Sox tonight over the Mets (with the DK 100 percent boost) +137

New York vs. Boston on ESPN SNB.
Like that's never been done before.

    First and foremost.
Carlos Carrasco is a hamburger, a gas can, call him what you want, he's a punching bag.
He gives up almost two taters per nine a game (one every five IPs) 1.45 WHIP says he allows way to many batters to reach base.

    Which explains the 5.35 ERA
He walks too many, jams up the bags, and allows homers to be hit on a regular basis.
And Carrasco doesn't really leave many holes in bats either with that pedestrian ike 7 per 9IP's K rate of his.

Sox have more than enough lumber to do damage there.

Now, here comes the tricky part.
Sox have to start the pride of Valencia California tonight, Brennan Bernardino.
He's a 1-2 inning reliever forced into an emergency spot start because Brayan Bello had to leave/paternity leave.
Brennan is a lefty, a pretty good one, thing is he's not going to see the third inning tonight.

So it's going to be a Red Sox mix and match, five pitcher bullpen by committee deal tonight.
Which is OK because the whole 'pen is rested except maybe for Bleier who tossed two innings in relief last night, which is OK too, because he sucks anyways.
Cora can go to a number of different arms tonight.
Sox at home, versus an over the hill Carrasco is the way to go here.
Using the DK boost, I turned that -145 line into +137 Red Sox moneyline, and played it for the 50 dollar max.

I got the sox -1 and over 9 parlayed and the game over 10 left in a 4 banger from earlier today. Also got the sox runs over 5.5 -105

I like what you are doing there.
Hot July night in Boston, I expect runs to be a scorin' tonight.

    Game Fun Fact

If you added Brennan Bernardino's number and the Sox's second pitcher Chris Murphy's uniform number together the sum would be 155.

Unfortunately- didn’t play the game but should have. The Mets bloated payroll screams failure.

Thanks man, you gotta love that 100 percent profit boost DK offers.

Sox used six lefties last night.
The starter and five out of the 'pen.
    Six LHP and one RHP.
The Mets were more confused last night at the plate than a gerbil in a West Village bath house.

The Mets are batting a whopping 223 (or there about) vs lefties. Nice call.

Last night was a sweet 100 percent.
    I got a 50 dollar max bet.
At the time, Red Sox were -145, the line went down to -140 right before first pitch, some got -137 elsewhere.
Nevertheless, I bet Boston -145, with the 100 percent boost the bet now was +137

Tonight's promo is 'only' a 25 parent boost.
100 percent boost is not daily, so you have to look out for that promo.

There's four different ways to play this Mets game tonight.

The obvious is the over total 9.5 runs.
But the over is juiced to the bejeezus like -115 and -120, and since I abhor laying lumber when I don't have to, and there are wagering options plenty here, tell ya what I'm going to do.

I'm making two separate wagers here.
I'm betting the Nats first five innings, +0.5 runs, at pick 'em.
If the game is tied 2-2 or 3-3 after five complete innings, i get paid.
Who doesn't like to get paid off on pusj?

Now bear in mind this game features a couple of this decades crappiest starters, this thing could go either way.
    I'm feeling frisky, so...
Evew though Canha, The Polar Bear, and Tommy Pham have made a career feasting off of Corbin, I still believe the Nats win this.

I'm going to wager The Nats on the alt run line, laying -1.5 runs, for a handsome 2.25:1 payout.

We all know Corbin hasn't been the same since leaving Phoenix for Washington, but Holy Mother of God, have you seen that hmmburger Carrasco pitch lately?

    It's not pretty thing.

I'm looking forward to this game the same way I look forward to watching a jack knifed Peterbilt wiping out four compact sedans on the i-95.

If these National plays work out, the profit will be golden .

Bust out the broom for the sweep! Nice calls Nash especially that ARL. I was on them as well on the ML. Really liked the price and this spot for the Nats against Carrasco who has been giving up runs left and right lately. After pitching a gem a couple of weeks ago against the Dbacks, things have been off the rails for him.

Another Carlos Carrasco pitching gem turned in tonight.

    2 1/3 IP
    8 Runs
    8 Hits
    1 BB

Basic math says Carrasco recorded seven outs, while yielding nine base runners.

The formula for determining a pitchers WH/IP ratio is H+BB / IP

Carrasco allowed nine base runners via BB or base hit.
    9 / 2.33 = 3.86

3.86 is a decent ERA, but we're not talking Earned Runs allowed per nine innings.
We're talking 3.86 baserunners allowed to reach base per inning.

Put that into proper perspective, guys like Pedro, Mussina, Maddux have plaques hanging in Cooperstown with career WH/IP's of between 0.8 and 1.1, not 4.

Until proven otherwise, Carlos Carrasco is a insta-fade every fifth day he takes the mound.
