    JOEL EMBIIDC, PHILADELPHIA 76ERS

    Joel Embiid has been diagnosed with a sprained LCL and may have to wear a brace for the next round according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.


    It's not the worst news for the Sixers but it's certainly not the best. As it stands now Embiid will go into the next round of the playoffs banged upped and with the added wear and tear done in the playoffs, he could be going the rest of the way less than 100%. Still all indications are looking as if he'll be suiting up for that opening game of the second round.

    IMHO Philly D sucked when Embid was healthy. Backing Philly you need to depend on Harden and a limping? Embid to get up and down on D. 2 months ago I thought BOS would have their way with Philly aside from a few Harden/Embid outbursts but BOS is not playing at a high level right now.

    Eastern Conference is a waste of time for me.
    My series bet will be on the West. Embiid hurt, who knows if he'll be effective. And who knows who shows up for Knix/Heat. Not stepping into that quagmire.

    Philly actually a good defensive team. Gave up the 3rd least points in the regular season. Shut down the nets in the postseason (not saying much but still).

    Maxey, Harris, Harden, Tucker, these are movable guys off the pick-and-roll. Nobody is going to the rim on Embiid if he's there (as long as he's healthy).

    Agree teams don't play much d anymore-Celtics got smoked by Atlanta, alarming. Gave up 122, 121, 119, 120 to Atlanta last 4 games.

    But you're right Boston looks unstoppable.

    I'm not playing it, odds look about right to me. Good luck. Someone has a better angle on this series for sure.

    Boston just has too much fire power vs Philadelphia.

    The only thing you can question... Boston's new head coach VS Doc. Doc has to out coach him. That's the only advantage Philadelphia has.
