    Is This Logo Racist?



    A junior hockey team in Pennsylvania has announced that it will be rebranding itself after its logo caused widespread outrage.

    The team was originally called the Lake Erie Warriors and used a logo featuring a caricature of a Native American. The league announced Friday that the team will be changing its name to the Gulls.

    The logo was unveiled in May, according to The Hockey News, but was exposed to a wider audience this week by Paul Lukas of the sports design blog Uni Watch.

    No I don't have a problem with it,to be honest,just like I don't have a problem with the Fighting Irish,Demon Deacons,Minnesota Vikings,or Duquesne Dukes all which have white caricatures.

    It's a symbol for the love of God, a sports symbol, it's not an intentional racial pejorative.

    What was the percentage of Native Americans that were offended by the Redskins? Like 5 percent.

    God, when I was a kid I Norman Lear wrote and produced All in the Family where Archie Bunker would equally call every race and ethic group a slur and nobody gave a shit but laughed, now people get their panties in a wad and kill.
