Depends on the game and who's playing for perhaps a coinflip. Otherwise thats where the research and capping comes in which makes most games not a 50% proposition given the day and circumstances surrounding it. Just gotta be picky.

This is incorrect. There are soft lines daily in some of the smaller markets such as small cbb schools or even some prop bets. Same reason most books limit these bets. The major sport lines tend to be much sharper.

I cover at a better rate than 50% and most markets are not nearly as efficient as even some of the best handicappers think.

Also, be happy if you can obtain it but don't fall for the myth that 57 or 60 percent is some kind of ceiling. Again, the markets, often times, aren't as efficeint as even the most seasoned handicappers think they are.

It's not that gambler's don't know things, it's just that what they know is often so wrong.
