NBA PR rule change

Due to the fact there is so much confusion and I am getting tons of emails I am going to simplify one of the rules.
From now on it does not matter if both teams have the same PR, go with the team getting pts as long as its above the 2 pt overlay. EX: last night DET PR 99.5 laying - 3 pts vs HOU 102.5. The play would be HOU since the overlay is > then 2 pts.

Wasn't HOU a rule 3 play last nite vs DET? HOU had the greater PR and was getting points. I believe the same thing happened with the CHI/MIN game.

Great question. I use SBR's site. They have quite a few offshore casinos I use for reference. Lets look at todays ex: MIN was -8.5 when I originally posted. Now 15 minutes before each game I check all the casino lines and if the majority have MIN - 9 which was the case here I back off the game even though I can get -8.5 from BODOG. Some of the main Offshore lines I look at are from Pinnacle, CRIS, The Greek and etc.
One other thought, to be fair, we should use the closing lines where most casinos are in agreement to keep the PR systems win/loss record.

Well my friend I don't care if you consulted Football Jesus, Joseph or Mary. As I indicated earlier, I have been extremely successful using this PR system for many years and it is obvious to me you or your so called experts dont understand lines or handicapping. I dont know who your so called experts are but it behooves me that anyone making such statements about a system they have never seen or used is simply ignorant. Secondly, no one is forcing you or your experts to use our PR system and if you have a better way of handicapping, maybe you should share it with us. You know we are all here for one purpose and thats winning. So please do us all a favor, stay off our thread unless you have something of value.

it just looks like you cherry pick games to fit your system, and its still comes out to average about 50% by seasons end. but if it works then fine, i will see how it does tonite , thanks

Uncle Milty your not reading the rules. Once MIN went to -9 from 8.5 the game fell within the 2 pt overlay. Using your thought process lets say the line went to - 13.5 then the play would have been IND and not MIN.

I noticed that not all of the plays are recorded under the "PICK" column...the only ones that are there are todays plays. How can I change the date to get all of this systems plays for this season? Also, what are the opinions of Bob McCunes basketball systems on spreads and totals? I have created an excel workbook that still needs finishing touches but one that I think with a little tweaking can be very valuable...especially is someone knows excel alot better than myself. Thanks again in advance.

NCAA Spreadsheet

Guys,

I have started an NCAA spreadsheet with the same concept as the NBA. However, all the scores from my database contain every division 1 team whereas sportrends only has 151. I attached what I have, but I am clueless as to how to finish it since I am ok with excel, but hardly a pro at it. I got lost with the whole team index thing. Maybe someone on here well versed in excel can clean up what I started. Anyways, the file is attached. One more thing, I have different names for teams in my database. For example, whereas sportrends shows Cal S Barbara, my name for them is Cal Santa Barbara. The good thing is all of the scores are there.

No one is forcing you to use this PR system. You dont measure a system in one day, week or month. You have to see how it performs for the entire season. Any good system will have bumps in the road. Secondly, as I and someone else previously mentioned this is one of other tools you should be using.

Last night there were no plays for me in the NBA and none in COL. Within the last 1/2 hour HOU went from a - 1 to a + 1. It seems many of you are too anxious to put your plays in early. Plays should be entered 10 to 15 min prior to tip off.

From now on I will be giving you my NBA picks.

Again in my last post I indicated its up to the individual as to what games they want to play using the system. You can follow your own rules or what I have suggested.

Just want to say thanks F...wiz again for all you have done. Sometimes I feel getting plays in earlier than just before game time as in Hou at +1 last nite) is warranted. the 3.5 point swing is unusual to the norm and especially form a +2.5 fav to a +1 dog in just over 3 hours... remarkable I must say, but the reality of this system is to wait. Unfortunately it was an expensive assumption on my part yesterday on Houston. I played the other two games however, not as rule #3's but followed the original advice and played the home fav w/ the lower PR but laying points. Cha ching on both counts w/ MIA and OKLA.

Am still trying to get an auto dwld to work with the spreadsheet and will persevere more in the days ahead. SBR Odds will not permit an automated web query dwld. So onward I search.
