Wiz can you answer this question about CBB and rule #3:
At times you will find the power rating for a home team is less then the away teams and the home team is laying points. I have found over the years that your better off taking the home team with the lower power rating.
When considering a play on the home team, should they have a better PR before adding +3 HC? Or Does this mean after adding +3?
Thanks

MEM only had 2 games on the road. I posted earlier that you need a minimum of 3 games.

Does not make a difference whether a team is home/away, always look at PR's first. If game qualifies then add 3 pts to home team. Remember PR's have to be at least 1 pt apart.

Thanks for the reply Mr. Wiz,
I checked Memphis schedule and the TEN game was their 5th road game:
11/23 @ Xavier
12/13 @ Georgetown
1/10 @ Central Fla
1/13 @ Tulsa
Did I make a mistake by playing them?
Thanks for the NBA sheet!

Thanks for the response, I'm new and trying to learn. Mem/Xav game was played in Puerto Rico.
I didn't know that you don't count games where a team is not in the spreadsheet.
I like this system, thanks for sharing!

Wiz,
I know you have spoke about the success of Power Trends for the NBA, how about CBB historically? Seems like it's off to a good start in 2009.
Did you use PT for NFL or NCAAF?

I have killed them in Col Hoops over the years.
I use the same spreadsheet for COL and PRO Football, but I mainly depend on Sportrends software for College and Pro Football, nothing like it. I also have another spreadsheet for college and pro football but I am not sure who developed it. As I and someone else posted earlier its important to use as many tools as possible.

Wiz,
I notice they update for free the CBB page daily. Do they do that for College and Pro Football?
Thanks for posting the NBA sheet, saves me some $. I'm not a big money gambler.

you guys I emailed Football jesus , who is a real gambler in vegas about so called "System Plays" and he sent this:
"not worth anything, and over the long term are just 50-50, on average, they have nothing to do with the preperation, talent, location , situation and motivation of the teams involved. If you really want to win , look at each game separately, and do your homework, you will come out on top. All power numbers from every joe out there, are all available to the guys who make the lines and are factored in, as soon as you think you know more than the guys who set the lines, you are doomed, no system has ever worked over a large sample of games, if you dont believe me, try it on very game for a week, and see what happens . "
so i guess we should beware

Yes sportrends updates the power ratings for every sport. I also mentioned I use their PR to confirm my plays.

Well my friend I don't care if you consulted Football Jesus, Joseph or Mary. As I indicated earlier, I have been extremely successful using this PR system for many years and it is obvious to me you or your so called experts dont understand lines or handicapping. I dont know who your so called experts are but it behooves me that anyone making such statements about a system they have never seen or used is simply ignorant. Secondly, no one is forcing you or your experts to use our PR system and if you have a better way of handicapping, maybe you should share it with us. You know we are all here for one purpose and thats winning. So please do us all a favor, stay off our thread unless you have something of value.
Thanks

Wiz,
We got lucky with Rhode Island and GW. RI covered in double OT. I noticed you labeled Seton Hall and Minn-no plays. What book do you use if I may ask?
Not Houston, Det has lower PR and they are favored.

Great question. I use SBR's site. They have quite a few offshore casinos I use for reference. Lets look at todays ex: MIN was -8.5 when I originally posted. Now 15 minutes before each game I check all the casino lines and if the majority have MIN - 9 which was the case here I back off the game even though I can get -8.5 from BODOG. Some of the main Offshore lines I look at are from Pinnacle, CRIS, The Greek and etc.
One other thought, to be fair, we should use the closing lines where most casinos are in agreement to keep the PR systems win/loss record.
