Nice start for mat. 6 scoreless innings, 0 walks, 4 strikeouts, & only 2 hits given up.

If only the bullpen could have done their job..!!

Charlie is on a roll! The ERA is just a shade above 3, plus he went 1-2 at the dish with an RBI!

Latos pitched great tonight, too bad their middle relievers suck.

No doubt! IMO, the best in baseball right now...

Now if only the bullpen would turn things around!

(06/16/14) Prospects hounds have already celebrated the arrival of George Springer and Gregory Polanco and even caught a glimpse of Oscar Taveras for those two weeks when Matt Adams was on the DL. But when Andrew Heaney is called up Thursday to take Randy Wolf's place in the Marlins rotation, he'll be the most notable pitching prospect to get the call so far this year. Which isn't to say Kevin Gausman and Marcus Stroman are chumps. Gausman may even have more upside than Heaney. But because he already got a taste of the big leagues last year (and disappointed, for the most part), his arrival wasn't met with the same enthusiasm.
Heaney is rightfully a big deal in Fantasy. Baseball America rated him the 30th-best prospect, a good 25 spots ahead of Stroman, coming into the year, and MLB.com ranked him 29th. His 1.60 ERA in 19 appearances, including 18 starts, between high Class A and Double-A last year speaks for itself.
His numbers this year are almost as impressive, especially when you consider his last four starts came in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League, where he had a 27-to-2 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 23 innings. And while no player is a sure thing in his first stint in the big leagues, pitching half his games in a pitcher's park should give Heaney a nice little cushion.
His innings will catch up to him eventually -- counting the Arizona Fall League, he had only 123 last year -- but Heaney is must-own right now.

Heaney is the real deal IMO, keep an eye on him grab him in deep leagues and think about it in shallower leagues.

He got through the inning and the speed was there, but the inning took him 20 pitches with a walk and a hit amongst them.

Hats off to Clayton Kershaw for his no-hitter.

Hanley Ramirez must feel bad for his throwing error. Which cost Clayton a perfect game.

Chapman faced 4 hitters today and stuck all of them out, that's what we want to see.

Tough luck loss for Heaney. Wasn't that Wheeler's first ever CG shutout in the majors?

Reds Tony Cingrani was sent down to AAA today.

I thought that they would keep him in the pen, because he was a lefty.

But he has struggled most of the season and needs to work things out in Louisville.

Right-hander Jumbo Diaz was called up to replace.

Juan Francisco & Edwin Encarnacion, both came up in the Reds farm system and had a field day dishing out some pay-back to their former team.

Edwin hit 2 homers & knocked in 6. While Juan hit a PH 2 run homer.
