With both deadlocked series resuming on Tuesday, including the Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets, we're offering our expert NBA player props and picks for Tuesday based on the best NBA odds.

The New York Knicks (50-32) have faced significant challenges during consecutive losses on the road against the Indiana Pacers (47-35). As they return to Madison Square Garden in New York, the Knicks are a 2-point favorite across our best sports betting sites for Game 5.

The night's action continues with a captivating Game 5 clash between the Minnesota Timberwolves (56-26) and the Denver Nuggets (57-25), both considered contenders in the NBA Championship odds. With the series tied at 2-2, the teams converge at Ball Arena in Denver, Colo.

Denver enters as a 4.5-point favorite on their home court, relying on the prowess of Nikola Jokic, the front-runner for NBA Finals MVP odds in the West, to counter Anthony Edwards and company.

Along with our Pacers vs. Knicks player props and our Timberwolves vs. Nuggets player props, here are our NBA player props and expert picks for Tuesday (NBA picks based on odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Jalen Brunson Under 40.5 points + assists ⭐⭐⭐

A week ago, I would have told you I'd be betting Jalen Brunson Overs for the rest of time. But the well has begun to dry up as Brunson seems to have hit the wall after a foot injury in Game 2 against the Pacers. Unfortunately, like any great bellcow running back, Brunson has lost a step.

While Brunson's performances have been admirable, he's averaging just 24.3 points and 5.3 assists over his last three games. His point totals have consistently dropped in each game as his physical limitations become more glaring.

It's impacted him as a shooter especially, with Brunson hitting just 39.5% of his shots and 62.5% of his free throws in his last two games. The odds on this prop imply a 52.61% probability the Under hits, according to our odds calculator, with a $10 bet paying out $19.01 on a winning slip.

Tyrese Haliburton Over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐

Did Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton pull a Freaky Friday (or a Parent Trap, or another Lindsay Lohan joint where she switches places)? Haliburton went from looking like a washed up Rajon Rondo to an unstoppable force right as Brunson's output began to slip.

The Pacers All-Star enters Game 5 averaging 23.8 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.5 rebounds in the series. After a bit of a dud in Game 1, he's found his rhythm, especially from behind the arc where he's gone 17-for-37 (45.9%) over the last three games.

With Haliburton putting up a combined 41.9 points, rebounds, and assists since Game 2, I think he can keep up the pace with Brunson hobbled and OG Anunoby ruled out (hamstring). These odds imply a 52.83% probability the prop hits with a $10 bet cashing an $8.93 profit.

Anthony Edwards Over 29.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

As the debate rages over whether NBA players are better suited to jump to the NFL or vice versa, Edwards continues to look like he could be the next great Minnesota Vikings receiver. His explosiveness and twitch are on another level, so much so that he's drawn Michale Jordan comparisons.

He's looked like the next face of the league against the Nuggets, averaging 33.3 points against the defending champions, and that's after putting up 31 per game in the opening series against the Phoenix Suns. Edwards' 3-point shooting has been the most impressive part of his play with him shooting 44% from deep against Denver.

These odds are far shorter than I was expecting, given Edwards has scored at least 30 in nine of his last 14 playoff games. The -105 odds imply a 51.22% probability this prop hits with a $10 wager paying out $19.52.

Nikola Jokic Under 50.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The runaway favorite by the NBA MVP odds for much of the season, Jokic hasn't been bad by any stretch of the imagination against the Timberwolves, but he's not putting up the video game numbers we've come to expect. Minnesota has done a good enough job on him to keep him from topping 50.5 points, rebounds, and assists in any game this series.

Against the T-Wolves, he's averaging 26.8 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists (46.4) and has struggled from deep. Jokic is shooting just 22.2% against Minnesota, who ranked first in defensive rating this season (109.0). While Jokic isn't just any center, it's worth noting that Minnesota kept fives to a combined 40.08 points, assists, and rebounds during the regular season.

At these odds, a $10 wager would lead to a $9.80 profit if Jokic hits the Under, and there's a 50.50% implied probability he will.
