Sorry about that, Shari. Melzer costs my futures bet too. I didn't hedge out. Luckily at the last minute I decided to put a little money on Rosol, so paid back a little bit. But still... what an ass...
I find myself having difficulty speaking about him too... Will never bet on him again. He'll be good fading material from now on, though.

Berdych, Raonic, Melzer, Almagro, Clijsters, Ivanovic, that's probably about 70,000 to 1 if you could have parlayed all of them losing in this French Open. It's a brutal tournament for chalk parlays, I've already decided to wave the white flag and just play some small underdogs until the quarters.

Unless you're hedging, I'd stay away from live betting for the most part. Many, many people lost a lot of money live betting yesterday.

I'm on BMS +5 +105. Hopefully she can pull off an upset here but I'm going to play it safe

I ended up with two matches that I bet on live betting. One was to take the girl against Sharapova when she was up 5-2 in the first, then in the 2nd sharapova had 2.5:1 to win the match so I took that too. The other live bet I hit on twice was the Baghdatis match. I had Mayer to win at the start, loaded up on him some more, then when baghdatis got to 3.5:1 I hedged and then again at around 3.7 to 1.

So far in a few different sports I follow, I only use this tactic if I'm on the dog to begin with, then either the favourite goes way down so you can hedge, or I just keep the $$ on the dog. YMMV Of course if your dog is down, no point in live betting.

"Rudi" - literal translation is "penis" .... Our slang of course is dick. So Jurgen Melzer = Rudi Melzer for the remainder of 2011.

My favorite moments are when you add the word bloody in front of something because I get to pretend to hear the accent. The Jellohead reference to Jankovic though - by far my favorite Sharism lately. Fits on several levels.
