EP do you got any leans on the Marchenko/Lu match? it seems Marchenko is in better form here because he qualified and he seems like he can hit through Lu's defense

#4798Not particularly. Marchenko is one of those guys I don't ever get a good read on. Helps that he got through qualis, but he's an inconsistent guy. I don't really like either side in that one.Comment -

#4799MONDAY NIGHT PLAYS
FERRER-ISTOMIN OVER 22 [-110]
Ferrer comes in to Beijing in good form after a somewhat surprising run on the indoor court of Kuala Lumpur last week. Istomin was his mercurial self last week with a topsy turvy three set win and then he got trounced by Soderling. I know it sounds like a broken record from me, but Istomin is one of the most inconsistent guys on tour IMO right now. That often leads to these roller coaster three setters, but he also has the potential to serve lights out and make it at least two tight sets.
CIBULKOVA-SEVASTOVA OVER 21 [-110]
Cibulkova remains highly competitive since her US Open run, while Sevastova has also quietly been in good form on hard surfaces. Both got wins over quality players in Round 1. Cibulkova over Wickmayer and Sevastova in 3 over Stosur. Think this is competitive from the beginning to the end and should get over.
TUESDAY MORNING PLAY
KLEYBANOVA +150
She draws the home standing Li Na, Na Li in Beijing. Li got her first match in yesterday since the US Open, an easy straight sets win. Still, her summer n this surface has been poor by her standards and she has not fared well in Beijing in the past few years. Kleybanova won easily over a qualifier which should have boosted her confidence after she lost to Ivanovic in Tokyo. That could have been expected though after she won a hard court tournament the week before. Kleybanova is very capable on this surface and there's no way I can back Li at her price even if she's in her home country.Comment -

#4807Kleybanova sucks or I guess Li is just too good today. Wish I would have taken Robredo at least on the handicap! Might as well try the last one doggy style. Mayer isn't much on this surface, but is there a reason to trust Donkey-denko? Nope.
Mayer +230 or with the handicap +4 [-120]

#4810CHALLENGER PLAY: PRODON -135
Prodon was one of the in-form players on clay at the Challenger Level this summer until some sort of injury early in September that forced his withdrawal from a tournament. He just returned last week and was admittedly rusty. Still, if Prodon is recovered he is the better player here having won two titles out of his last four entries.Comment -

#4811CHALLENGER PARLAY: VLIEGEN + MALISSE [+111]
Not usually a fan of Vliegen, but he's playing a young Dutch player who only plays on clay. Getting him on an indoor hard court should suit Vliegen who just played on this surface in France, winning one and losing one. Malisse draws Koubek whom he is unbeaten against. Dropping down to the Challenger level means Malisse is probably here to make some money. The surface should suit his game, while Koubek has to transition back from clay.Comment -

#4814Alrighty. Vliegen wins in straights. Malisse plays later this afternoon, obviously you can hedge too on Koubek at +250 if you so choose on that parlay, but I think Malisse has the goods to do it.Comment -

#4815CHALLENGER PARLAY: KENDRICK + DANIEL [+104]
Kendrick draws DeHeart at the Sacramento Challenger, an outdoor hard court. Kendrick has done well at this event, making the QFs last year and the final the year before. The main concern today will be rust with him as he has not played since the US Open. DeHeart played last week in Bangkok, making it through qualis before losing his opener. DeHeart has not done much on this surface recently with a 2-5 mark in the main draw this summer. Kendrick was in good form winning the Binghamton Challenger before the US Open and he seems to pick & choose his events as the year has gone on, so I'd expect he intends to do well here. Daniel draws Estrella on clay in Ecuador. Daniel defeated Estrella in straights in Colombia just a few weeks ago. He did lose early last week, but that may have helped refresh him more so than hurt him. He's had a very solid year on clay and if he's 100% or close to it, he should have enough to beat the Dominican today.Comment -

#4820TUESDAY NIGHT PLAY
STEPANEK-CHIUDINELLI OVER 22.5 [-112]
Don't trust either of these guys to put together two solid sets in a row, but I do think they could wind up going the distance in a topsy turvy style match. Stepanek will have revenge on his mind for C.H.U.D. whipping his ass in Washington early in the summer when Steps was just beginning to work his way back. Chiudinelli crushed Llodra, but I get the feeling that was more of a fukk job from the French. Stepanek did not look overly steady against Falla, going 3 including two tie breaks. Not expecting this to get done if it goes straights because I think both will have their problems serving as is their custom from time-to-time.Comment -

#4824Driving me crazy, cannot find info on Kendrick. Match is over, I know this because I have seen finals for matches started after his.
Cilic-Davydenko to me is bar none, the WORST match of the year to wager on. How anyone could have confidence in one or the other is beyond me.
Don't know what to think about Isner. Kohlschreiber has been real solid lately, but he's a streaky player.Comment -

#4826WEDNESDAY MORNING PLAY
DJOKOVIC-FISH OVER 22 [-112]
Expecting a much more competitive match than when these two met at the US Open. Fish was fatigued there from a long summer and has had some good rest since then. He was solid vs. Tipsarevic in his opener, while Djokovic cruised against a qualifier in his opener. The quick surface should aid Fish if he can get his first serve in. Not sure he has enough to pull off the upset against Djokovic who seems in good shape after also getting some rest following the Davis Cup. Weather shouldn't factor much.Comment -

#4827CHALLENGER PARLAY: BRANDS + ROCHUS [-106]
Both matches here at the Mons Belgium Challenger on an indoor hard court. Brands draws Rosol whom he is 4-0 against lifetime. Brands comes in off a good run in Bangkok on a similar surface last week with a pair of wins. Rosol is transitioning off playing mostly clay of late and that should help Brands get a jump on him again. Rochus is the home standing Belgian against Bozoljac who isn't useless on this surface. Rochus has always fared well here with a 12-4 lifetime mark. Rochus got some good time on this surface last week, beating Del Potro and losing to Kukushkin. Bozoljac last played on dirt, so he's shifting back onto the hard surface but has had prep time. Rochus will have to work for this one, but I think having played on the surface last week - that will be key.Comment -
