riba/mannarino stalled for ten minutes after a mann hold to make it 4-2 riba in the fourth.

I wish there was a stream, but I've been stuck with flash score and the atp site.

Big win for Benneteau for me. Needed that to save the day from being a total wipeout. Can't believe Mannarino came back from down 4-2 to win. Took a small piece of Nadal-Gabashvili Over 28.5 when it was at +115. 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 if you please.

Also small on Wozniacki-Gullickson Over 16.5 for the super nightcap. Woz tweeted about playing before Rafa. She's going to be focused on his ass while Gullickson wins 5 games total to get this done. Jitters for all. Woz being #1 seed and playing prime time to open is different for her. Gullickson is a college junior here on a wildcard in her biggest match EVER. Get your Woz on. 6-3, 6-3 or 6-2, 6-3 if you please.

She's got some good talent, but she can't keep the ball in-play. She really deserved better in that first set than winning just one game. She kept probably 4 of the 7 games very tight, but did not play well on the big points. Her service games are attrocious. She actually seems to do more on Wozniacki's service games. She won't win but one more game I would think in this match, she just can't put the good stuff together consistently enough to outweigh her errors.

Once again since sportsbooks are too gutless to put up totals early, I guess I'll be making my other picks in the morning after I get a look at the totals I want to see.

                          U.S. OPEN PLAYS WEDNESDAY

                          PARLAY: SIMON + CHELA [+128]
Simon starts off against Donald Young. The Frenchman has slowly been working his way back from injury for the majority of the year, but looks like he might be closing in on his best fitness in awhile with a hard fought double tie break loss to Fish in Cincinnati and a tough 6-4, 6-4 loss to Youzhny in his last two on hard courts. For Young, I just think this is a bad match-up because Simon likes to play defense, put the ball back in play and let his opponent make errors. That's usually the downfall for DY, errors and bad service games. Young always enjoys playing here and is probably good to snag a set, but I think Simon's consistency with his return game will wear DY down. Chela draws Lu who I really like as a great little battler, but his health is a major issue coming into the US Open. He retired in his last match in Cincinnati with a back problem, but a foot issue was also a problem this summer something he acknowledged in early August again. Chela certainly isn't at his best on hard courts, yet he did go 2-2 in limited action this summer taking a set off Baghdatis and playing Federer to a stand-still in a 1st set tie break in their meeting before falling in straights. Chela has been boom or bust at the Open with a surprising QF run in 2007 which was preceeded by three 1st round losses. Last year, he won one and lost one. Lu while proven as a good Challenger level hard court player is just 3-7 in his US Open career with only one main draw win. With questionable health, I side with the Argentine here although I would expect Lu to try his best no matter what his condition to make life difficult for Chela.

                                            STAKHOVSKY-LUCZAK OVER 38 [-120]
This was the first match that I marked to look at for totals today. These two just met last week in New Haven where Stakhovsky surprisingly walked away with the title. Their meeting was a three set affair featuring two tie break sets. Stakhovsky has the better serve of the two, but Luczak certainly held his own. That he stuck with the eventual champion last week should give Luczak some added confidence today that he can do it again. The price on Stakhovsky from winning one event is ridiculous to me seeing as he was 4-7 on outdoor hard courts prior to New Haven. Still, his confidence will be boosted as well from last week's run and he should translate that into perhaps his first main draw win at the US Open. Both guys played well here last year in dropping 1st round matches. Stakhovsky losing a 5 setter to Petzschner and Luczak blowing a 2 set lead to Troicki. The Aussie has played some tough players on this surface in 2010 like Soderling, Roddick and Nadal - taking all three to at least one tie break set. Consistency is the key for him from set-to-set. If he gets his 1st serve in 60% or better, that should help and perhaps help him win a set or maybe even two. I don't think this will be easy for the Ukrainian to win.

Handicap maybe, but I think Azarenka may come out today with a lot more focus after she blew what should have been an easier straight sets win in her opener, turned it into a 3 setter. Azarenka is tough to predict sometimes, but she's beaten some quality players by large margins on this surface this summer [Sharapova, Stosur, Bartoli, Li].

I don't mind, I tend to think a lot of my info is worthless - especially when they don't win.

For the record, I stopped tracking units won/lost and record because it depressed me in losing streaks and gave me over confidence in winning streaks. I'm not the best at this crap, not even close. I just try to provide info and hope it helps others and that more than 52% of the picks win along the way to gain some money.

Bondarenko's 2010 is pretty interesting. She's not played very much outside the Slams and she's gone to the 3rd round or better at all the Slams. If you look at how she started the year, she is very capable on this surface [Won the Hobart title]. She burned me in this spot last year though because I think I backed her against Dulko and she laid an egg. I definitely do not trust MO-Oudin even if this is her Cinderella spot. She's been awful this year and one win does not change that to me. GL with Bondarenko.

I'll have my iPod Touch but that will depend on what networks I can hook onto when I'm up there. If I get to post picks next week, they'll probably just be the picks without much insight as a result.
