#2418CHALLENGER PLAY
GREMELMAYR -160 [Rimini]
Gremelmayr is drawing the talented young Turk, Marsel Ilhan. The German comes in fresh off a Challenger title on clay in Holland. He beat some capable players in Koellerer, Darcis & Kamke. It was easily his best result of the year in an otherwise blah year for Gremelmayr. Ilhan isn't without merit, but hard surfaces are better suited to his game at this point. He also is making the quick turnaround from grass to clay after playing a Davis Cup tie for Turkey against Great Britain on the weekend. Ilhan is just getting started playing on dirt whereas Gremelmayr has some years of experience on the surface. With the added confidence of winning a tournament last week, I think the German will prevail here - but don't be surprised if Ilhan pushes him a little.
Also for spite for Massu playing like an absolute mug in Davis Cup play ...
STRUVAY +240 [Bogota]
Young Colombian getting to play at home in Bogota against Massu who looked completely lost against Minar in losing in straight sets in the Davis Cup. Show up unmotivated Massu and let this kid decapitate you.
As with all Challengers, make sure you keep your head about you when making your bets. It's kind of like exhibition matches in other spots, motivation is a weird thing for some in these.Comment -

At tennisinsight.com, you can search for players and see what tournaments they have played in, etc. so you can have a clue as to their form. It's a pay service for the most part, but you can sift through their play history for free.Comment -

#2437WEDNESDAY
STARACE -156
Starace draws Seppi. Their round one matches were both one sided, but Starace was far more impressive with 80% of his 1st serves getting in, winning 75% of the points off of them. Seppi won under 60% on his 1st serve. For the season, Seppi is 7-7 on clay with nothing special as far as results. Starace came into Bastad on the heels of two clay Challenger finals. He's had a pretty solid season on dirt and has more experience at this event. If his serve is solid again. Starace should find his way past his fellow Italian.Comment -

#2441ZEBALLOS-FERRERO OVER 21.5 [-110]
Zeballos served very well against Beck yesterday in his straight sets win. Ferrero comes into this one with his form in question. JCF played just two grass court matches and lost both. After a solid South American clay run, JCF fell off in Europe at just 6-4 compared to 14-1 in the South American swing. With a match already in hand on this Bastad surface, Zeballos could get off to a good start against JCF. If he holds serve, this could definitely get over.Comment -
