Well comes down to form. Both players playing their best, sure Sharapova is better but with her injury bugs and mental breakdowns in matches it's hard to feel comfortable laying much on her.

For once, I agree with Lou. Petrova really had that match won late in the 3rd, but folded.

Cuteboy86, Pinnacle does have live betting. Its not for all of the matches just one match at a time usually. Has the bigger matchups usually. Its only available during the changeovers though for betting.
Another dissapointment from Safin. Hes just not into the game anymore and just playing simply for the paycheck.
Not a good start from Venus already down 1-0 in sets.Hopefully she regroups for tomorrow
Petrova choked so bad today in her match with Sharapova that I actually though that she might be french

          I like....

Chardy-Bolelli over38.5 @-125 - both abysmal bp conversion, and good serves. tiebreaks very likely.

          Beck-Gicquel over39.5 @+101 - Two up/down types, very evenly matched.

Tsonga-Monaco over (no line out yet, 38.5) - Tsonga to play alternately rubbish, and be inspired. Monaco to choke in slams as usual, and suffer from the wrist injury. Makes 4+ sets very likely imo.

Stakhovsky-Djokovic over (29ish?) - Djokovic has so many overs in slam matches as a fav, bout 2/3

Venus Williams sure didn't make her match easy today. She even fought off a break point in the third set before she went on to win. Match is another prime example, just like the sharapova match, of players being unable to close out matches. Safarova had her chances to win this match but when the time comes for the big points, she was no where to be seen. Not to sure if I am going to keep betting the williams sisters at this french open. They are winning there matches but they both easily could have been at home right now.
Speaking of inability to finish, Acasuso goes up a break today in the first set to federer and then he blows it.They go to a tiebreaker where Acasuso gets two mini breaks up and he blows them both and loses the first set tie break. Hes currently up a break in the second set and trying to serve it out so I guess we will see if roger breaks him back again.

Rumours of Monaco wrist injury floating around, and he pulled out of the doubles.

One for tomorrow I like is Verdasco to beat Almagro, who has an unbelievably bad record against lefties: 3 of 15 in atp main draw clay events, and the three were utter clay donkeys. Almagro's serve was apparently back working against Gulbis though, so handicap/ou is probably dubious (and forecast says warmer weather, which will only help his serve further). Have to dig into this, find the best way to play at, as straight odds are -500 or so.

Got some Fed -340 right now in-game.Still can't see him losing

wow fed in some serious trouble now and so am I. 2 breaks down in the third set. Still think Fed can ultimately win this but he is playing horribly. Its all from unforced errors left and right.

It's a facinating match all right. Fed isn't evne that bad, Acasuso is just redlining it, very, very impressive.

Problem is, I've seen this before. Berdych destroyed Fed for 2 sets at the Aus Open, then his level dropped just a touch, Fed hit the accelerator, and the inevitable comeback happened.

Edit: I let Acasuso take this set, then bet on Fed.

Acasuso blew the 2nd from 5-1 up, lost the plot totally. Annoying, was looking like I'd get -133 on Fed there if he'd gone a set down.

What a comeback from Fed down two breaks in the third set. This is almost exactly like the murray match yesterday.Acasuso is gone mentally so this should now be done in 4. Some very good prices floating around for trade in this match for Fed

Fed's fine, Jose is very scrappy. Anyone remember when he came back down 5-1 with Gulbis serving in the final set of a warm-up tourney a year ago?

Federer match has been a traders dream.I bought a bunch of fed when he was down and I am now guaranteed green on both players. What would have been the ultimate would have been to have acaususo from the start at 1.02 which is 20 bucks to win a thousand. Then to have offset that bet when Federer's odds got to -150 or so....god damn

                                -150? That's nuts.

I'd spot Jose the first two sets and gladly take that.

Tsonga-Monaco over (no line out yet, 38.5)
                                    Stakhovsky-Djokovic over (29ish?)

Tsonga over line higher than expected at o/u40 @-110, went 1 unit on that cos price not so good.

Stak-Djoko was o/u28 @+108. Something holding me back here despite the good price, and I spotted Djoko 3-1 at an insane +650 on the exchanges, so went for that instead (0.33 units).

Also going for Kohlschreiber-Ferrero over 40 @-107, as Kohly is a bit of a choker, and Ferrero has a lot of overs recently when on form. Good news on his blog about not being tired after the Ljubo match too, that was the worry holding me back.

ps Chardy match went over, and looks like Beck one heading that way too :-)

Ferrero got pounded by the public too. He was at +115 when I took him last night. Saw him at -105 I think at the same book this morning. Anyone watching the Tsonga match? I see he is up 3-0. Curious if Monaco is showing signs of being hurt or not. Retirement would suck!

Monaco looks great, Tsonga saving lots of bps, crowd really into it now.

A wrist injury is more likely to affect the longer the match goes, especially with the whip Monaco puts on it. He said it was sore yesterday, so the doubles withdrawal was likely just precautionary (as was his withdrawal in Dusseldorf last week).

Monaco choked at the end of the first set, few errors and gave away serve. Was worried about that from him in this atmosphere, whereas Tsonga is clearly drawing from the crowd.

It's a really excellent match though. True clash of styles, both very high quality.

Tsonga's price is going to be interesting to watch next round if he pulls off this 4th set. Probably not getting a dog tag much longer whether it's warranted or not.

Cool, 3 of the 4 overs cashed, tsonga pushed at exactly 40 (was tiebreak final set too, but monaco blew it).

The little correctscore djoko 3-1 was looking good - djoko won first set, then stakhovsky went 4-2 up in the second, very common Djokovic slam pattern. However Stak then lost 4 games in a row, muppet. Suspended overnight at 2-0 now.

Despite the score, Novak is really making poor decisions on the court.

                                                          Leans for tomorrow :

Davydenko -158 over Wawrinka I haven't bet the cheater for at least a year. Davys game is good on clay and he is the better player of the two overall.

Sharapova -230 over Shvedova All aboard the Sharapova train here. Has been profitable the first two rounds and no indication here that it will be any different.Shvedova has won 5 straight matches on clay but three of those matches were against challengers and the remaining two weren't anything special. Seems that the match is also going to be on center court which will be to overwhelming for Shvedova.

Might be just those two plays tomorrow.Nothing else is really jumping out at me. Good luck tomorrow guys

Frankly I still regard Cilic as poor on clay. He's never beaten anyone competent on the surface - thundering winners past nobodies is all very well, but all his movement failings come out against the better guys. He's also an enormous choker under pressure, both in keypoints like tiebreaks and bps, and generally with his forehand losing the plot in longer rallies.

For example, his best ever clay win was Kohlschreiber in Munich. Very next week, at an event that actually matters (Madrid masters), the same guy beats him.
