I bet the Giants +2.5 -220. They void it. Cite "wrong line".

San Francisco giants +2.5 -195 was deleted due wrong price, the correct price should be -295. Thank you

BetPhoenix are always looking to screw over winning players. They are lying, thieving scum. Hands down the worst book I have ever dealt with, and I have dealt with some shady ones before... The idea they are a B+ is a total ******* joke.

thremp should be especially pissed as the line was -195. The book moved it to -220. They were taking action on a line they just moved. It's bullshit to cancel his bet.

Wow. I guess the fact that they have me on delay means they have no need to cancel any plays. LOL

+2.5 -195 actually could be argued is a 'bad' line now that I look at the market
+2.5 -220 maybe not so much

The market has probably moved since he placed the bet, but I am not sure.

I wonder if they cancelled anyones bet that bet the other way on this?
I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to bet the other side with that line!

I'd say no way on the -220.
The book thought they screwed up at -195. They adjusted their line to -220. They took more action at -220. They shouldn't be able to void the -220 that they adjusted to after having a chance to re-evaluate their initial line.

This is 5Dimes style
My experience with Phoenix is they limited you to death and then they need month to pay you. But they never void a bet for me, not even at "bad lines"

Is it really "theft" if the bet is cancelled long before game time? The original line of -195 was way off and action moved the line. Then more action comes in and BP realizes their mistake--voiding all bets. I'm not defending BP's actions, but it was borderline. An A Book probably lets the bet stand. JMO.

What is an obvious bad line?
Aren't all lines I bet obviously bad? Why would I place a -EV bet?

Just stating the Book's side; I don't necessarily agree with it. I'm a +Ev bettor myself, but I can live with a Book killing a questionable bet long before it starts--and notifying me as such.

This is why I'm wondering if they did cancel both sides of the bad line? This is of course if anyone was dumb enough to play the other side!

It's bullsh*t. There are examples of obvious bad lines. If it were Giants -2.5 +295...that would be a legitimate cancellation, IMO. This one is stealing.

The Book's side is "nonsense"? I agree you had a +Ev bet cancelled which is unfortunate, but you took a shot in their opinion. From my unbiased POV this is very close, but at least you were notified well in advance. In all, I think they are well w/i their rights to kill the bet.

this is not an "obvious bad line". at least not to me. after researching and thinking i may think it shoud be closer to -300 but a book should not be cancelling this even if its a week before the event. granted its not as bad as cancelling right before gametime (or during or after game) but still should be action imo.

Agree that a top Book would let it go, but we're talking about BetPhoenix--an average Book. For the OP to call this theft however, is a bit dramatic.

If you feel that strongly, close your account with BP. You'll be paid w/i a month or so.
