Cavs have totally given up on their coach and they want him fired as recent reports have stated. It is apparent early in the season they were trying a bit. but they have lost 12 of 13. Zero effort. Love on trade block. They don't care about losing and won't cover many spreads. They lost to the celtics tonight and have rockets, spurs, bucks, and raptors upcoming. all teams that care about winning.
Ottawa are not the same cupcakes from last season. they have won 7 of 9 at home and are much more competitive. the prices won't be good for much longer, but good time to hop on the train.
Jackets had been a really solid road team but are struggling lately losing 7 of last 10. Worth paying attention to as there will be a few away opportunities coming up.
Despite their win against edmonton last night, sabres have been terrible on the road going 10-35 since last november and the o/u is 25-18-2 as they are giving up an avg of 3.6 goals on road. good opp for tt overs as well against them.
It's almost impossible to get a good price on the bruins, but they are 40-24 on the road since '17. much better prices on the road than at home obviously.
and the kings are surprising everyone as they are 20-43 o/u and on a 15-3 ats run. Maybe Luc can coach? i certainly had my doubts. but the defense is getting better.
all of these are basically looking in the rear view mirror, rather than looking forward
When looking back a these types of trends / stats, the decision becomes:
Do you expect the same trend to continue, or regress to the mean.... on a team-by-team basis?
For example, Ottawa NHL team this year is harder working, a couple of hot scorers (who could get traded away), and playing within a more structured system..... yet I expect they will still end the season with a very bad record.
Did see you included a couple forward looking comments, so don't take me the wrong way, just chiming in here with food for thought
Cavs are giving up on their coach? Everyone thinks he is a good coach. His players are fukking awful. What is he supposed to do with these hacks? Everyone picks them to finish last in their division, then when they do all act surprised and think a new coach will turn this shitshow around. Pro sports is comical at times.
