Mike Smith just clearly proved to me he is the worst coach in the league. Awful time management at the end of the first half. Way to go. You don't get 5 timeouts in the 2nd half moron!!!!!

John, what do you think about broncos over 10 total points at -153? Or maybe parlaying the saints ML with Broncos over 10 points? I feel like the broncos will at worst score 10.

So far this yr the Fav lines have dropped near kickoff regularly ( today is much earlier however a little more)
Was it set high to help off set 3 Team teaser money on Pitt even or 2 TT -3 pts ???
Here in the Mid Atlantic area it appears that everyone has teased Pitt in some form.
Dog money traditionally comes in late so maybe attempting to derail that and any Denver Teasers ??
Just a guess, as I haven't heard anything but see a lot of Denver picks in forums.
What is unusual: there are now 3 Fav cashed in the W/C round and 4 Fav's have never covered the 1st round
so perhaps that is the reasoning ??? ( I don't think 4 home teams have made it before either)
1990 saw 4 Favs in the Div round win. TC

Well, looks like the sharps were very right this time with the late line movement. Whenever I have seen lines drop and there are more bets on the other team, it can be very revealing. So, Denver looks like a team that is more focused than ever. Teebow is learning the reads and he is not locked on one receiver at all this game. Stellers are obviously banged up entering this game and even more so after the first half of play. They could have had a 14-0 or ay least 10-0 lead and Denver is so used to playing from behind that is was almost a confidence boost to them, to be down just 6-0,

Thanks for posting on the line movement John. That convinced me to take Denver and I got a W and broke my horrific losing streak in football.

Sorry I missed your post. You obviously had a great play there and certainly laying -153 for measly 10 points was a gift. Hope you got that one big.

John do you think the giants have a shot at covering or winning SU? I was hoping I'd get a little more than 7.5 but with the public betting heavily on ny ATS I don't think that'll happen

I would disagree about Tebow , respectfully of course. He's the same guy he was 3 weeks ago and 3 years ago. He still struggles to complete 50% and does stair down his wr's. That last play to Thomas was a perfect example. He stairs down any wr beyond 15 yards , looks for check down or takes off. The weakest part of the broncos defense is their secondary and ability to cover the middle of field. Especially their S's. Conversely that's the strongest part of the Pats passing attack , their TE's. Don't ignore the obvious there. The Pats TE's are going to light it up this weekend. I honestly can't see the Broncos winning su in any way. Even the points don't make me feel better. If the Pats take the lead there's absolutely no way they let up in anyway shape or form. The Broncos barely beat the Steelers last week and it took major injuries to do so. The Pats have a much better o-line and just as many , if not more weapons. All people want to talk about is their defense. Their getting Chung back and are well rested. The Pats defense doesn't give up a ton of points and that's what the broncos would need in order to beat the Pats.

Curious to see what the sim says about Houston v. Bmore - I'm seeing Ravens -9 +115, which I can't see the Ravens covering against an underrated Houston D. Part of me thinks Houston has a good shot at winning SU. I'd like to put a 10* on Houston ATS, I think I'll wait til it goes to +8 so I don't have to lay the wood, curious to see what you (and Swami-ulator) have to say John. I'm also thinking about a 2* ML play.
81_84 - Interesting, I didn't know that NE was getting Chung back. I wonder what's going on in Belichick's mind - I have to think they're going to try and give Tebow underneath routes - imo he has more trouble throwing those than he does the bombs (see last week for evidence that he can put it in the basket 40 yds down the field). I'd love to see a close game going into the 4th, but my cold side likes that the line is under 2 TDs (-13.5 -110 for me), so I'm doing a 5* on NE -13.5. I'd love to lay a ML on Den just for the David v. Goliath feeling, but it feels like just giving away the dough.
Thanks for everything John, bol everyone.

Hey edmskid this is exactly what people were saying about the ravens last year against the Chiefs and that was in K.C.! Chiefs had ground attack, good defense, and a standout double team wideout! This is the lock bet to me especially with the home crowd yates has seen nothing like it! I would take baltimore very comfortably up to 11! With shaub the line would still be baltimore favored by 4

As many of you have already seen on the front page. I like Green Bay as a 10* Titan Play and the 'under' as a 5* play. Both research articles are on the front page or the front page of the NFL section. Thanks to all, and certainly provide me with your comments, critiques, of my opinions. As you will see in the article, the BIG Nickel that the Giants have been using with great success may not be available due to injuries. BIG Nickel is a nickel package with THREE safeties playing the back-end in thirds.. allows the corners to be more agressive on the perimeter and push plays back into the middle of the field. See what you think. Thanks
also have the 5* UNDER Saints/49ers - writeup on the site.
Let's get some dialogue going - both supportive and not supportive of my research.
Ok.. I have a trivia question.. What one characteristic to both Green Bay and Baltimore share that none of the other playoff teams posses this season.. Has nothing to do with cheerleaders either. For those, who saw that post,, I discovered that the last four winners of the past 6 Super Bowls do not have cheer leading squads.. Th answer actually has to do with the playoffs teams involved this season. all guesses welcomed.. As Hannibal Lector said. " you saw, but you didn't see!" .

I couldn't agree more in terms of Tebow and the underneath routes. He's always had some success throwing deep. It's helps that his wrs are wide open , I mean Thomas was miles away from Taylor by NFL standards. Anyway I think BB will try to take away anything deep and make him throw into short , tight Windows. Something Tebow has never been able to do. Force him to his right , make him throw into tight spaces , take away his first option and stick with his wrs. Laying 13.5 is always tough , but I feel Vegas is begging people to take the broncos. Brady and BB will NOT let up under any circumstances in these playoffs this year.

Baltimore and Green Bay were the only two playoff teams that won every divisional game, both were 6-0. The Saints, Niners and Pats were 5-1, the Texans along with the Steelers were 4-2, while the Broncos, Giants, Falcons and Lions were 3-3. The Bengals won the least number of divisional games by a playoff team this year going 2-4... If you look hard enough you will see...
My book has O/U 47 on the NO/49ers UNDER is the call.

All great answers: the one I like is that both Green Bay and Baltimore defeated all six of their fellow playoff teams and both went 5-1 ATS. Yet, I am getting into the nuts and bolts of the Ravens game and I am beginning to get a pretty heavy lean on the Texans.. More on that later..

10* New England.. Hearing that Belichick has his troops fully motivated not just defeat the Broncos, but to completely dismantle them. The simulator has this graded between a 5* and 10* and my overall research makes it a qualified 10* Titan play.

Yes, the 10* is Green Bay Sunday and 10* New England tonight.
New England line is 13 1/2 -110.. the Line will be at 14 and I would just bet the game, I have never removed a play because of a line movement ever in 18 years.
