I was basing my comments about phasing down on Limits post about caution starting the 7/5 in mid season not on the close game. Like you said, there will be many times we lose by 1/2 to 1 points, but also times when we will win those games. That is the nature of the beast that we have chosen to fight.

He didn't mean the mid season games were harder, he meant you should never jump into any system in the middle of a season, especially since you won't have any of the already acquired wins in your BR. I have those wins, I've been playing it for weeks.

Yes, I understood that. Thats why I was suggesting for anyone just starting to tread lightly, 'cause they wouldn't be up the 100+ units that thelimit0310 was.

Just remember that the 7/5 method has already made ~100 units so far this season. Jumping on it at this point in the season could be dangerous so always use caution.

This post basically tells me that since Philly was (-1), that would be less than (-3), so by rules in this thread, they would have been played on the M/L. They lost by 1, and with the extra .5 buffer you threw in, they lost by 1/2 point, making them a 7/5 B bet. I know I'm playin' it.

I should make clear now that in my 7/5 backtest I never used the ML filter. All results were by the spread +3 (and then +3.5 with the filter in place), to determine official B and C bets for 7/5.

As such, they did not lose by .5 point with the 3.5 points added in. Philly lost 91 to 92. The base spread was -1. Add 3.5 to -1 and you get +2.5, this makes Philly an A bet win (93.5 to 92) by the 7/5 ruleset.

Orlando's closing line was 9.5, they are an A bet win with 3pts. For those who did not buy 3pts the series continues unofficially.

I am not sure if you use closing lines or opening lines for your research, but it appears the closing line was +9.5 (+12.5 after buying 3) today for Orlando, which would make this a win for A bettors.

Your right, I will defer to the closing line for further situations like this. Orlando is an A bet win with 3pts. But they will continue as an unofficial B bet.

I think this is an excellent time to continue an unofficial bet. I believe Orlando WILL cover one of the next two games WITHOUT buying points.
