I think I'm about to bury myself. Usually display good money management with an occasional risk but decided to go balls out on the Heat. Hopefully I'm not eating crow later =/

#7565with ya on the Heat. Not big, but got em at -3 (-105) at bovada.
Rose is so important to Bulls, but don't feel confident about anything these days.Comment -

#7568So is Noah and C.J. Watson.
I still don't see how the Heat let this get away from them. After losing to the Magic in OT they need to come back hard in this game. They're also one game behind the Bulls for 1st in the East to this game becomes even more meaningful.
I had Heat at +3 from last night for a unit and wound up taking them at +1.5 for another hen I saw Rose was possible out and then again at the ML for a a shit load of units at -140 when the line was only at -2 which has since one to -3 and -155 ML
Correction: Got it at -140. It changed as I tried to lock it in and didn't notice until now when I printed my pending plays.Comment -

#7570I would be careful guys. Sacramento looked awful good last night as well with Monta Ellis out and look what happened. I'm sure the lines were already adjusted accordingly before Rose being out was announced. Everybody and their cousin is going to pound the Heat. Chicago plays really well no matter what player is injured.. they have proven this all year long. If I'm not mistaken this will be Roses 11th game to sit. They will be just fine without him. Also, Miami is b2b after OT loss in Orlando last night. Just some food for thought.. Good Luck to everyone tonight!Comment -

#7572Just from the last few nationally televised games, the refs seem to just keep handing out fouls like candy on Halloween.
I mean Jones just swats turners hand away, when Jones is playing defense. And bam foul.
Almost like they are looking at any excuse to make it a high scoring game.Comment -

#7573Well...then you are checking out the wrong thread. You can find "bail out plays" elsewhere. However, that strategy is for amateurs that only see sports investing in the short term and don't have the patience nor ability to grind out profit via a winning percentage of 53% or greater. I don't worry about one play or three plays or whatever. This is a long term investment where results are measured on the last day of the season. While I have been cold over the last three days, I am not going to be so stupid and childish as to risk my remaining $6,000 in seasonal profit because I lost one game today. That is exactly what the books want. Instead, I will suck up my loss like a man, limit my plays during this run of bad variance and just keep out grinding profit. Remember, the NBA season is about peaks and valleys and you need to play aggressive when you are peaking on a hot streak and pull back when you are struggling through a valley. To play aggressive when you are struggling is a sure way to lose your BR.Comment -

#7575One more thing.. Look at the score in the Magic/Spurs game. That's evidence that tired legs equal lackluster defense and lots of easy baskets. I think this goes over the posted total of 189.Comment -

#7581I agree with the Ellis point from the other night. Teams often step up for a game or two when a star player goes down. At the same time I see how the Heat will play well here considering 1st place overall, recent loss, and need to re-establish dominance.
Bulls are tough but think Heat clamp down and win.
If you got in last night and have Heat +points, all the better.
OK... glad I wrote this about 7 seconds after LTA.

#7583The fact that Lebron played the second half and overtime so poorly and that the Heat lost makes me feel like the Heat will come out focused regardless of a Roseless Bulls team. I rolled Heat when they were getting points and staying with it. I understand those who wish to stay away from the game.Comment -

Regardless, I'm worried about my own bankroll not yours and if you are playing 15 point and 10 point teasers then you have been a long time losing -ev player well before you started following me.
Hope it turns around for you. Good luck.Last edited by Love The Action; 03-14-12, 08:58 PM.Comment -

#7592Just be careful of the "missing star factor" which is in full effect tonight. Heat might be a bit disappointed about not facing Rose and could start sluggish, while the Bulls will be ultra-motivated. Not saying the Heat aren't the right play, just that you should be careful before going any bigger. Good luck buddy, I hope you cash.
I agree with you 100% buddy. Normally I'm not one to chase especially due to losses. I know they happen and am well equipped to take them. You'll never see me bitch on here about a loss. Because of you and what I've learned from your posts in my short time here I have become a much better gambler. Not only in how I chose games but also because of how I manage my funds.
Occasionally though, I'm apt to taking a shot somewhere if I feel confident enough. Although not based on as much statistical analysis as your plays would be, still a play I feel confident in 9 times out of 10 sort of speak.
Hopefully it cashes and my recklessness doesn't come back to bite me in the ass. Appreciate your comments and the best wishes
