Dave Tuley likes #6 Andrew the Bull (30/1 morning line). This longshot has been sprinting lately, but that makes him a threat to steal this on the front end as most of his competitors in this mile turf event will be looking to come from off the pace. Now, Andrew the Bull does have some distance limitations and is 0-for-12 on the turf with six (count em, six!) runner-up finishes, so let’s go bet Win & Place.
Gulfstream Race No. 9 (4:53 p.m. ET/1:53 p.m. PT)
Dave Tuley likes #6 Siros (12/1 morning line). In the ungraded Unbridled Stakes, we’ll probably be left with a competitive field of six if #5 South Bend scratches as expected. Most of these are late-developing 3-year-olds and most flash early speed. I expect this to set up for a closer, which leaves us with #6 Siros, who broke his maiden in a minor stakes race like this last fall over this track. I think we can toss out his lackluster performance in his 3-year-old debut and expect him to be running late and passing fading runners in the stretch.

Prior to that effort, he had won the Grade 3 Peter Pan at Belmont. Returning to the races today in a seven-furlong sprint, he picks up the services of jockey Chris Landeros for trainer Stanley Hough. Duane Colucci likes #3 Sunny Dale (6/1 morning line). “This Hollendorfer filly is moving up the ladder and is improving each start, getting faster and faster. She is 3-for-3 at Oaklawn but is taking a huge step up in class and faces the tall task of taking on Bellafina. However, I believe Sunny Dale has the advantage at six furlongs and her best Ragozin speed figure wins this one.”
